I like the sound of Bont at CHF. It will prolong his career. He’s impossible to replace in the midfield, but if everyone is healthy we’ll have plenty of options through there.

I was at the Northern Knights in the Stats Box during his draft year.

We frequently swung him to CHF and he was pretty effective there.

Don’t forgot the other 7 footer in the forward pocket - Crofty. Maybe we drop Naught’s back in this case? Would Naughton be better forward or back?

I think we’d love Croft to be a long-term KPD, but realistically he’ll be a ruck/KPF chop-out off the bench. Just seems more of a natural forward type, it’s hard to find kids that want to be defenders.

Probably not into the ruck himself just yet for a year or two, but maybe replace Darcy in the forward line whilst English has a spell.

I think we’d love Croft to be a long-term KPD, but realistically he’ll be a ruck/KPF chop-out off the bench. Just seems more of a natural forward type, it’s hard to find kids that want to be defenders.

Probably not into the ruck himself just yet for a year or two, but maybe replace Darcy in the forward line whilst English has a spell.

Croft has very good natural defensive instincts and aggression and could be a natural defender if trained there. He has the tank and natural athleticism to play on a wing in time also. It's still very hard to predict what exactly Croft will be.

The signs are good as a forward, but I still think he needs to improve his marking consistency and goal kicking accuracy.

Saw in the training report that Richards is on limited time during training to allow his recently operated on shoulder to be right for the season, hopefully that rules him out of the Joke of Origin game, just need Naughton, Darcy and Bontempelli to find short term niggles to rule them out as well

I'm not sure the players will be going super-hard.
It won't quite be bruise free, but I don't think too many blokes will be chanelling their inner Clay Smith at the contest either.
