I think Oliver was previously Nick Wayne's tag team partner?

Looking at cage match yep.

Interesting all these new additions. Maybe to counter TNA but after last night I don't know?! People are speculating something is happening with Roh.

hopefully a roster clean out like getting rid of The Premier Athletes and the Frat House

Just an arms race with WWE as far as talent goes.

I'm trying not to be tribal when I say the companies prioritise different types of talent. A lot of the new people would have ceiling in WWE. Unless you're Leon Slater level of talent I don't think WWE want smaller workrate guys. Conversely, don't think aew will sign people like iconics whose strength is character rather than in ring (I could prove wrong on that tho depending what happens in coming weeks)

I think Tony Nese would be good back at NXT in a Shawn Spears type of role - good hand who can help the young talent get reps.

I do like the new gal they have though - Tori Netali or something? She had a great look. Green as, though

Surely someone would have proofed it regardless…

Good exposure for AEW probably the most eyes that’s been on the title since Punk won it.

Probably the only way a Fed wrestler could hold the title, given they don't really stack up with their in-ring work...

Trey Miguel released already.
Came from "higher up" but not Tony khan

A pretty powerful line up for Dynamite in Orlando.

Omega, Samoa Joe and Strickland all have tough assignments, but all need to bank victories to be seen as legitimate contenders to MJF down the track. Knight could cause an upset with interference less likely in this encounter, although MJF could play spoiler to mess with Strickland.

The trios match appears the starting point for the feud between The Death Riders and The Don Callis Family. Callis is sending out the third stringers here, so The Death Riders should win, but I’m interested to see how things escalate afterwards.

The newbies get thrown into the deep end facing FTR first up. Hopefully it’s given time so that Price and Oliver can showcase their talent and take it up to the champs. Hopefully, Davis & Doyle beat down the cocky FTR after the match, to add fuel to the title match next week.

What’s the under/over on the women’s tag getting 9 minutes? It should be a fun match, with the result not that important at this stage. Expecting a Love Bombs beatdown post match by their opponents and Shafir. Who will make the save, to even up the numbers?

Ideally, we should get something announced for the Sydney show in the coming days. It’d be big boost if both world titles were on the line for the event.

Just thinking it looked stacked. Pretty sure Alexander was the one Kenny was suppose to put over when he was the belt collector but injury stopped that.

Another high quality episode of Dynamite highlighted by the singles matches that all well and truly delivered. Basically throughout the show, those who haven’t been on the roster that long, threw their best shot at the established stars, but just couldn’t get it done.

Hard to believe it’s been 6 months since Omega last had a singles match and he showed he’s still a title contender outlasting Alexander. Just keep Omega healthy, space out his matches and aim for a shot at the big one in Vancouver.

As usual, you can’t have a street fight without Moxley bleeding. That was a sickening blow he took to his back on the barbed wire. Archer looked like a beast in that match, and I hope he’s well utilised against the Blackpool Combat Club 2.0

Samoa Joe having to cheat to beat Bailey was no surprise. The Opps worked the referee cleverly to give Joe the opportunity to take advantage. A group of 4 works for The Opps so a replacement is probably required, as they do look less threatening now. There’s plenty of under utilised talent to choose from.

The tag team matches were pretty good with the newcomers getting plenty of offence in against FTR. Oliver & Price will probably float between the indies, ROH and Collision for the near term, but they were impressive today.

MegaBad got it done against the Love Bombs with a Shafir assist. Bayne just dominated this, and just threw around anyone she could get her hands on. Bayne throwing Shirakawa over the top rope and over Storm’s head, who was on the floor waiting to catch her, was terrifying to watch. Fortunately, she carried on, took a lot of punishment soon after, and was eventually pinned. Bayne & Ford are being set up to be the next champs whilst the Shafir & Storm feud shows no sign of ending.

Knight made Strickland work extremely hard to secure victory. Towards the end I was convinced a few times that Knight had done enough to cause the upset, but Strickland refused to yield and finished strongly to prevail. Knight using some of his opponent's signature moves against him was pretty cheeky.

Full marks to AEW for being nimble and agile, by cancelling their show on Saturday due to a dangerous weather forecast and filming Coliision after Dynamite. The logistics alone would be extremely stressful, at short notice, but it all came together and the people that attended got to see a lot of wrestling.

Three title matches were announced for Dynamite next week, with Statlander under the most pressure to retain hers against Thekla. Briscoe defends the TNT against El Clon in an interesting clash of styles and FTR defends against Davis & Doyle.

No progress on the Sydney front, just 23 days out.
