AI is stupid half the time!It is clear that the "AI" report was rubbish.
Yeh, there’s pretty much zero value in terms of improving football performance. It’s more a bit of fun combined with a competitive aspect. A bit like when the soccer balls came out at training, just shits and giggles. Just unlucky though, they probably do it a fair bit.

This years draft is rated pretty high isn’t it? Just saying….1 more pre-season injury and i think i am going to book a euro holiday from March through to September
I wouldn’t say it adds zero value. It’s definitely a way to build strength, power and muscular endurance. I also think there’s probably some mindset/mentality/resilience gains that could be made, particularly if combined with something like shuttle runs.
While it might not be optimal from a physical standpoint, pre seasons are long, and you sometimes need to find ways to keep the players engaged and maintain that competitive edge in training. I think something like wrestling is a really good way to do that.
I also think the injury is just unlucky, it’s not like they were suplexing each other, and there’s likely far more risk of injury in match sim then something like this. Training injuries happen, it is what it is.
Dawson did hit the knee repeatedly with a folded chair.
Takes his wrasslin seriously does ol’ Daws
And we will have a new coach if we have a 2013/14 Sando yearThis years draft is rated pretty high isn’t it? Just saying….
I just HOPE he is lining up in Round 8 against the PowerI hope he goes beast mode like Filthy did when he was out of action with his knee injury. This injury sucks though
...in another galaxy far, far away.Round 7-9 with no match fitness and conditioning.
He won't have much of an impact on the 2026 season unfortunately. Next man up but any other option doesn't even come close to what a fully fit and firing Curtin will have to offer. Big shame but 2027 Brownlow year sounds nice
I need to go back and check but wasnt the big issue with Brad Crouch that he wanted surgery and the club advised against it?I don't thnk "they", i.e., the club, come into it. The decision rests with the player and his medical professionals.
I think it's the right one and hopefully the recovery will be swifter than if there were bone and/or ligament damage.
People have been complaining for years that we don't tackle well. I would think that wrestling and grappling is a very big part of that.Yeh, there’s pretty much zero value in terms of improving football performance. The former, both the Crouch boys were pin cushions trying to keep them on the field and ultimately it ****ed both players. No absolute guarantee earlier surgical intervention would have had better outcomes but it seems to be the Adelaide way.I need to go back and check but wasnt the big issue with Brad Crouch that he wanted surgery and the club advised against it?
Or was it the other way around?
Thank youThe former, both the Crouch boys were pin cushions trying to keep them on the field and ultimately it ****ed both players. No absolute guarantee earlier surgical intervention would have had better outcomes but it seems to be the Adelaide way.
He'll have a good month of training before his return, he should be able to perform ok.Round 7-9 with no match fitness and conditioning.

I know AI is a bit hit and miss, But I asked it anyway. Here is what it told me:
"While Dan Curtin was seen wearing a protective bandage during his early days at the Adelaide Crows (2024), it was primarily used to manage general knee soreness and load management as he transitioned into the AFL.
Prior to his injury on January 19, 2026, there was no publicly documented history of patella instability or recurring kneecap dislocations in his youth.
Context of the Protective Bandage
Medical staff are currently weighing surgical options to ensure he does not develop the long-term patella issues seen in other young players who returned too early from similar injuries".
- Purpose: In early 2024, the bandage was a precautionary measure for soft-tissue soreness common in high-growth young athletes rather than a brace designed to prevent dislocation.
- Durability: His durability throughout the 2025 season, where he played every game without significant knee issues, suggests that his earlier soreness was effectively managed.
- The 2026 Injury: The current dislocated left kneecap occurred during a high-impact wrestling drill. Because he is only 20 years old, the club is now considering surgery specifically to prevent future stability issues and chronic dislocations that can follow a primary incident.
Make a fly cartoon! If you want, next we can.
- Project whether the likelihood of Matthew Nicks getting sacked is inversely proportional to Curtin’s time on the sidelines.
- Create a cartoon image of Nicks wrestling a giant fly.
- Draft a likely incoming argument between George and WaynesWorld about who needs to be sacked over this.
Just say the word.
Have you met people?AI is stupid half the time!
