Master of Puppets. Not sure I’ll have the energy for Abbath tonight. Still a bit cooked from last weekend and have Dead Congregation/Concrete Winds next Friday. See how I feel later in the day.

I'm going, as Immortal is one of my favourite bands; yesterday was payday, so pulled the trigger on a ticket for Dead Congregation/Concrete Winds. Looking forward to it!

Abbath is on at 9:15 for anyone heading out tonight.

Had the two Dead Congregation albums on repeat for the last few days.

They really could do with putting something new out. 10 years since last release

Funny situation as Immolation and Incantation have continued to record albums but Dead Congregation appear to have checked out after two.

Abbath played a great show; setlist did change up a bit.

Didn't rely on the material to carry them, everyone on stage played with a lot of intent.

I wouldn't quite have it on level with seeing Immortal in 2008, but it comes as close as you'll get.

SUN DONT SHINE (formerly known as EYE AM) Comprised of Kenny Hickey (Type O Negative, Silvertomb), Kirk Windstein (Crowbar, Down), Johnny Kelly (Type O Negative, Silvertomb) and Todd Strange (Crowbar, Down).

“I don’t want our music to be one-dimensional,” says Hickey. “I don’t want it to be just dark and doomy or always so heavy. I want it to be both light and dark, dynamic and unpredictable.” It’s a sentiment that runs deep in their sound, where each track takes on a life of its own, exploring contrasting moods and textures that reveal more with every listen. With Windstein’s earth-shaking riffs and Hickey’s evocative, often ethereal melodies, the band strikes a delicate balance between heavy and haunting. Kelly’s drumming keeps things tight but never feels constrained, while Strange’s bass lines act as the backbone, holding down the bottom end with a ferocity only years in the rock trenches can cultivate.

Was a super fun show overall, both the supports really brought it as well. Even if half of Bastardizer's stuff just seemingly sounded like Metal Militia by Metallica, but was fun to have a beer to.

I missed the supports, which sucked as I enjoy Werewolves. Problem for me is I finish work at 6, then got to get from Dandenong back home to Rowville to change, then on two trains to Thornbury (wanted to have a couple of drinks so didn't drive). There's a lot of great venues in the northern suburbs, just takes me so long to get there :/

Least you don’t have to travel 3hrs just to get to Melbourne :$

Yeah think I’ll go.
Last chance to see them you would think.

Slayer already done.

Metallica who knows if they come back.

Megadeth you think will come back one last time.

Just wish Anthrax would drop Antisocial & Got the time the people attending their shows these days don’t give a shit about those songs.

SoE was the first one I got. That said FoM is probably my favourite with AtL behind it. Lost me after SoE. When I saw them in 2019 in Auckland the next day I went for a walk and came across all five of them out sightseeing. Was a bit surreal. Looks like Got the Time is played early in the set too - ****ing terrible. Can tolerate Antisocial.

I still liked Persistence OfTime & Sound Of White Noise.

Persistence came out about a week before their 1990 tour basically spent the whole time listening to it to learn the songs Time was a great opener good memories of that show.
