Tread water? I was going to say drop further but I guess there isnt much further to goHave said before that I think Reid has got better as he went on.
The first Gibbs effort was a rookie error.
He signed up senior players who spearheaded the 2015-2017 finals years to long contracts which hurt us in hindsight
Since then he's learnt. A couple of high level trade wins, good pick swaps, long term contracts to younger players rather than rewarding veterans for their service
The difficulty he has now is attracting players to a perennial non-finalist. It's a fork in the road trade period for us imho. You feel that a couple of big gains this trade period could catapult us up the ladder, especially if combined with a new senior assistant and a new Rahilly-quality line coach. If we have another Chris Burgess trade period though we'll continue to tread water.
