My thoughts almost exactly though I'm going to show my age and say as Moving Pictures said...I think I must be in the minority. However there is a big part me saying I do not want Mara to do well at the GC. Sure it is good for him but as Shannon said WHAT ABOUT ME or more to the point what about us. We gave up a lot for him supported him as much a as we could. Get nothing for him except salary cap relief and to see him do a Bailey Smith in his first year is just a bit much to take, 2 years in a row as a passionate dogs fan.
I’ll believe it when I see it with him.I think I must be in the minority. However there is a big part me saying I do not want Mara to do well at the GC. Agree re Bevo. I met him twice and had a brief chat each time. very personable, approachable and really nice person to talk. answers questions no matter how dumb they might be. I know I have been tough on him over the last couple of years, but I am a very emotional fan, so I forgive myself for hanging it on him. Ha, ha, ,,, all the best this year to everyone at big footy. GO DOGS!Ok training update from today
A very active session, lots of drills and very vocal and players rotating through each drill. I wasn’t there the whole session but was told some of the squad were heading off to do a 15km run through the hinterland so they all split up and left in groups. Some guys like Darcy, Naughty stayed on the track doing more work and running some laps and then they left and it was just the rehab group of Libba, Adz, Gallagher, Bramble, Croft and VDM who stayed out there for quite a lot longer. I’m assuming they weren’t taking part in the run.
Had a chat to Naughty and Bont as well as Big- all are excited for SOO….or perhaps the paycheck for it at least
Finally met Bevo. Such a personable guy, told him I’ve got his back with all the arseholes on Big Footy
One thing I noticed was it sounded like they were scoring points for their accuracy on their kicks running out from the pocket. A few ****s echoed out with some missed kicks (yes I heard it Libba) both Crofty and Will Darcy kicked some sweet passes.
There was a fair bit of cheering in the middle of the ground before the main squad left, not sure what it was about but they were playing some sort of game where someone would fire different sized balls up in the air and someone had to catch then - it looked liked you had to catch it with your wrong hand and everything someone would drop one a big roar would go up
Team looks very settled, bonding well and for the first time in years there doesn’t appear to be any distractions
I’m confident for a big year
Hi all,
Is Harmsey still on personal leave or is he back training again?

One time I met Bevo (in a circumstance where it wasn't solely because I was a Bulldogs fan), he made the point of repeating my name back to me, the tricks you learn to remember names, even though it wasn't necessary for him to remember it. He's clearly naturally personable, and does little things like remembering names and as you say willing to engage in discussion.Agree re Bevo. It is. Like do we need better support and psychologists. Are they included in the soft cap? Other clubs spending more in that area while we're left behind?I know every case is different, but it's a bit odd that we seem to have this stuff along with players go on leave more than other clubs.
Not saying it's good or bad, just weird.
What is this based off? Smith and Jamarra?I know every case is different, but it's a bit odd that we seem to have this stuff along with players go on leave more than other clubs.
