matches announced for House Rules:
  • The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter) debut
  • Jon Moxley & Marina Shafir vs. Toni Storm & Orange Cassidy

all discussion of live experiences and (preferably) the replay in here please.

I was really considering buying one of the $96 tickets impromptu and heading up tonight but I'm suspicious about them being so much cheaper than the tickets in similar sections, and the weather isn't making me feel like driving up.

Will watch the replay I think.

Loved the show tonight, not just the in ring wrestling, I just felt AEW interact a lot more with fans and make the crowd feel apart of the show and not just a number, the Moxey/Takeshita match was just a masterclass that I wish lasted another 20 minutes, if they come to Melbourne I’ll be definitely putting some good coin down to get right up close to the action

Doesn't seem like as many of us attended this time, how was the crowd? Fairly knowledgeable or overly casual?
Couldn’t convince my mates to go 2 years in a row and didn’t want to go by myself 🤣.

Fingers crossed they’re back next year. Ticket sales don’t fill me with confidence though.

I was in $150 seats, turned up and got upgraded. Which was cool - though kinda annoying that they'd closed off the section and just had a table there giving the new tickets, but they'd run out, so we had to stand around waiting while hearing the sound of wrestling inside. I'm not sure why they didn't have the amount of tickets for the amount of people coming through but oh well.

Was a very fun time! I thought the Andrade/Hangman match was best, though loved Moxley/Takeshita too.

Unfortunately it stepped out at the exact same time as the Ed Sheeran concert next door, so took a little while to get onto the train heading out of Olympic Park, but otherwise a very good time had.

I drove and parked at P1. Didn't move from my parking spot for 30 minutes, cars were banked. Eventually got out of the car park in 45 minutes.

I did think it started a bit later than it should've given the show wasn't broadcast live anywhere. An 11pm finish at the same time as a sold out concert next door made it even worse. Could've started the ROH matches at 6:30 and finished up an hour earlier.

Was a really enjoyable night though with some great matches. It really was a PPV quality card. The crowd was a bit underwhelming though and I do worry that unless state governments are helping financially it might not be viable for them to come back yearly with that kind of attendance.

I'd say it was fairly knowledgeable. It was a bit flat without as much reaction for the ROH matches at the start, but once the main card started most of the crowd was really into it and across all the talent and storylines

AEW really should look at signing the Dropouts. They have a WWE tryout coming up but neither of them feel like they'd be more than comedy jobbers in the WWE if they make it out of NXT at all.

I really hope they do a show in the Southern states one day.
Being in Tasmania and not having any close friends interested in the product, I'm always put off flying to Brisbane etc by myself to see a show. They could essentially turn Australia into an overseas territory if they expanded their show schedule.
