he can’t help himself

Training yesterday-
Rehab
Moore, but he has started participating in some drills before doing some running. Progress
Howe- did some light handball drills before heading indoors
Reef
Nick made an appearance - 2 days after the origin game.he can’t help himself
No DC.
Swadling participated after not playing in the intraclub on Friday. Some of his kicking- geez. Sublime
It was a solid session with some skills and match sim divided into 3 sides and they would rotate like a red robin tournament

I think there's a great chance he debuts this year.do you think there is a good chance Tyan Prindable plays this year or more likely he spends the year in the VFL?
Impact has reverberated down the ages - onfield and right hereFreeman Scharenberg Stephenson all being busts was a massive massive blow.
From what I’m reading, sublime kicking and racks up the possessions,……..me to, starting a movement.Swadling is the one I’m most eager to see in the VFL. Just a “vibe” that he’s going to be a player for us, Have high hopes for him. He’s listed as elite on both sides, is that a fair assessment from what you’ve seen?

Will be interesting with players who have left , players coming in and the Neale Payne scandalsBrisbane won’t make the GF this year. Bookmark it
That’s what I’m most interested in to see. Whether he can continue to be an accumulator in the VFL as opposed to his WAFL games. Elite on both sides he’s ahead of Allan and HDM alreadyFrom what I’m reading, sublime kicking and racks up the possessions,……..me to, starting a movement.
Missing out on Bont was another shitshow. We were all over him at pick 6 apparently and the Dogs only warmed to him late. He was a bolter that we'd identified and those ****s swooped. Imagine Bont in our 2018,2022,2023 and 2025 finals teams. ****Impact has reverberated down the ages - onfield and right here
There's so much to like in this write-up but gee, Pendles is a real worry.
There's no doubt that Pendles' brain and foot-skills remain elite but his glacial slowness is a big liability and very difficult to hide. He can probably still play short bursts in the centre square, or maybe somewhere in the forward line but he could leak a lot of goals in defence. Opposition sides will certainly try to isolate him against faster, more agile opponents.
IMO Pendles should have already retired but now we're stuck trying to nurse him to Boomer Harvey's games played record. If he gets there, I hope he hangs up his superhero cape shortly thereafter.
Every team? A really slow 38 year old? I must not have been watching - just as you suggest.
Despite what you may think, I love Pendles. I have the number 10 on a jumper that I bought in the 2009 season. I never thought anyone would overtake Peter Daicos in my affections but Pendles is neck and neck with him. BUT, I hate seeing him shown up and embarrassed by lesser players, who can only dream of being the player that he was at his peak. We've already seen it several times in each of the past two seasons. I think we'll see it more frequently this season. That's why I wish he had retired.
Anyway, I hope your assessment is more correct than mine. I genuinely do. I look forward to you calling me out about it - not that you'll need much encouragement!
Well if that’s your tactic, then if I was Fagan, I’d try to get Charlie Cameron onto him. Good luck, Pendles!
(Or Zac Bailey. Or Cam Rayner. Or Kai Lohmann. None of them are good match-ups for us.)
I would imagine that over the course of the game we’d be seeing Pendles and Josh rotating between half back and the middle assuming Josh isn’t used full time in the middle this year.So you see Pendles playing as a largely unaccountable backline distributor? Alongside one (or perhaps both?) of our other two largely unaccountable backline distributors, in J Daicos and Houston?
Are IQ and Maynard taking two opponents each?
The high end numbers were at Colts level. His league numbers were decent, but at about the same level as Prindable when he got a VFL shot last year. That’s what I’m most interested in to see. I would just like to see someone in the 2s knocking the door down for promotion. A solid 10-12 game block where he demands promotion. Can't remember the last player who really has done that in their first couple of years at the club (excluding Nick who bypassed that bit).Swadling is the one I’m most eager to see in the VFL. Just a “vibe” that he’s going to be a player for us, Have high hopes for him. He’s listed as elite on both sides, is that a fair assessment from what you’ve seen?
Huh? If Pendles is in the backline, I doubt opposition forwards are going to try to defend/negate him. I expect that they'll be trying to exploit his defensive vulnerabilities, particularly by trying to get into space behind him. They'll be doing whatever they can to make Pendles think/play defensively, not the other way around, IMO.View attachment 2530180
I’m not really sure that you understand how our defensive setup works if you think that’s going to be an issue, and I sure as shit don’t believe for a second that Fagan would be stupid enough to send one of his best attacking small forwards to cover a guy who will just drag him away from the contest. Especially given that small forward is pretty suspect defensively anyway.
Yep. Apparently I shot Bambi.

Nows your chance to lock in Anderson, he'll play at least that many games this yearI would just like to see someone in the 2s knocking the door down for promotion. Zorko ~ Round: 7 Venue: Gabba Date: Thu, 17-Apr-2025 - we exploited him by shutting him down, then he lost the plot. 20 possessions were his 2nd lowest tally for the season, besides the 17 he had against GCS and the 19 he had against us in R22.Are you able to provide examples of Zorko and Whitfield being exploited in 2025?
You have had plenty of time between Sep and Dec to have holidays JenMy report might come later tonight though short as I’ve only taken my phone on this trip.
I’m on the plane heading to Bali.
