We’ve just been soft for a couple of years now. Consistently soft, when you lay only 42 tackles and a completion rate of 52% that shows a lack of intent to attack the opponent.

Ball movement was fine, we were fine on the outside butchered the ball at times, but 20 marks inside 50 says ball movement was a massive improvement on last week and last year. No midfield pressure, except for Garcia at times. Folks are calling for Hammer’s head, not much he could do when it’s coming in with no pressure on the kick.

All that being said we need to grow up as a footy team a little bit.. A lot of Hollywood early on when just simple decision making and skills were required.

Season is absolutely done I am afraid. We have played 2 non finalists and played some of the worst brand of football imaginable.

The game plan is laughable, skills are as bad or worse then the last 2 seasons, and we can't even co-ordinate keeping our best player on the ground at the death when the game was there to be won. We are an unprofessional mess, and there is nothing that is going to right this ship any time soon. There are just too many good sides. We are cooked.

Play the kids, wait for Ross to be moved on at the end of the year. Its the only play we have got.

Phantom and others have been scarily accurate with their predictions. We are a better than even chance of going 0-6 to start the season. What a calamity that would be for the club, after they talked themselves up all summer.

I have to admit I got sucked into the haze of optimism over the preseason, i thought we might be able to cover for the loss of King etc but how wrong we were. Our gaping list holes have become more pronounced than ever, the players who we thought might stand up in their stead have failed dismally.

The season could go completely t*ts up and will put serious presssure on those in charge.

Both have been close losses and its only two games. But I dont recall a time when the club have raised our expectations, to now feel so despondent about what lies ahead. The reality has hit hard (fools gold), good luck to the club trying to sell more memberships this year!

I got sucked in by the hype of NAZ and the new recruits and then preseason they looked ok. Practice matches, rusty but did what they needed to.

I tend to agree. I remember a few years ago they had a guy on who predicted the premiers. His whole point was about the nix of bringing of in guys and drafting your own. it hurts.

Unlike some people here, I don't think we were terrible. Mediocre? yes. Terrible? No.

It was the first time since round 3 last year that we cracked 100. You gotta take some positives.

But it hurts- We're 0-2 but it feels like 0-5.

The excitement was palpable this year. I don't think anyone truly believed we'd be top 4 (except in the "absolutely everything goes right and it's possible" type sense). But we expected significant improvement.

Last week was the highest home and away crowd ever.

Today was the highest crowd against Melbourne since 2017.

The fans have turned out.

And now we're staring down the barrel of the first 0-3 start since 1996.
