I didn’t really think he was bumping he did get him high though - the idea that you can get off on any post record alone should be scrubbed BUT it isn’t so if anyone gets off … he gets off.

The next player done for the bare minimum contact that gets a week - that’s when everyone will start asking these questions.

What’s the bet it’s one of ours! What if it was Worrell?? Oh the typical crows irony that would be!

I think this is actually shoe-horning 'exemplary record' into the meaning of 'exceptional circumstances'. These circumstances are not exceptional. The result should be based on the action, not what the player has done (or not done) before. And in any event, Pendelbury has had fines for certain conduct in recent times.

It would be a joke for him to get off for what is clearly an act that warrants suspension.

So... I expect he will get off.

On talent, Fogarty was a Top 5 player in that year's group. A beast in the carnival. He slid because of an injury I believe but some concerns around his application/preparation.
I was told Fog’s draft slide was to do with his injury in his draft year and that he also made it very obvious to teams outside SA that he wasnt at all interested in moving interstate during draft interviews.. both the dogs and pies draft selection teams said it apparently.

There were also rumours in his first couple of years at the crows when he was struggling to make the 22 that if the crows delisted him, that even if other clubs inquired about him, he wouldnt play on and would simply go work the family farm instead.

Just love reading the Jason Horne-Francis thread on the Port board above how unfair it is to boo him, except that same fan base boo Tex at every chance they get and it would not surprise me if they keep booing Josh Rachele and now Riley Thrilthorpe.

Super set of supporters that bunch are.

And we always boo Danger, big mistake, makes him play inspired always.

6-3 with Gulden last year
6-8 without hiim
Yeah, he's one of their top 3 players.

They also had others injured last year, but he is a big loss.

I don’t mind. The good record rule is there, and if Pendlebury can’t use it then no one could.
Also, no concussion so wasn’t a huge hit... otherwise it would have been games.

I beg to differ on the recruits ...... they're the very reason PORT are a bog average side

Theoretically, if you were correct & these were good recruits ....overlaying them with JHF, Butters, Rozee, Georgiadis, should have made Port better .....well obviously, Ports recruiting team thought that to be the case

All the players listed have been in/out of their original sides B4 coming to Port for a Contract that ensued JS & income

People keep peddling the "Lukosius is a good player" rubbish ......he's gonna be one of those "what could have been" type players .....all the skills & athleticism, but no heart for the contest

I'm thankful every day, Lukosius never landed at the Crows
Amazes me that they are playing luko in reserves while they have Whitlock (such a young KPF) up forward and a repurposed Marshall preferred as a distributing 3rd tall defender.

Massive fall from grace for luko in being behind both

If he’s not succeeding forward then you’d think he’d be at least preferred in the def role where he’s actually been ok in past but he’s either that far off it or he came on a promise to be a forward

Luko should definitely be playing ahead of Ollie Lord who is absolute rubbish

Pendles got off but I am really not surprised. Kind of expected him to get off.

But would he get off if he played for a SA side?
McAdam never gave his opponent a concussion either, but got suspended for the bad "look". Now a Victorian darling hits a player head high in the " must protect the head era" , surely that's a bad look, of course he gets off though.

Pretty sure he said in a AA interview that “The defence experiment has been tried before” and certainly indicated he was not interested in revisiting it. Another reason I’m glad he “chose” Port Power.

Pendlebury upheld. $3k fine, zero suspension. What a joke.
So is he officially unsuspendable?

If he does it again next week then his defence of not being suspended in 427 games is all of a sudden even better now that it's 428 games without a suspension.
