Surely Pou misses out. Was withdrawn from the match and we have a 6 day break and trip to Sydney.I guess Poo and Ryan play if they participated in full training. I'm guessing it'll just be Marshall for Keeler and Banfield for Macrae. Not what I'd pick, but that seems like what Lyon will do.

A report from our VFL game against Casey
I’m convinced we’re not that bad and I’ve tipped us again this week.
Surely we’re due to take our chances inside 50.

For better or worse they are going to persist with Caminiti as a back for now. He trained there all pre-season. Probably the same with Tauru although I get the feeling he could be a nightmare matchup in the forward line. Remember when the Dogs threw Naughton forward? Wouldn't mind trying the same with Tauru.I hope the coaches aren't too stubborn with the structure. But history says they absolutely will be. I just can't see them moving Caminiti or Tauru forward.
Honestly I kind of see where he's coming from. Some of the questions are just SO dumb. Like, "is there more pressure on you now to win because you got players". I just think he's fed up with the stupidity and the way the media are all in this weird vacuum where they feed themselves.![]()

St Kilda coach Ross Lyon speaks to media ahead of the Saints’ trip to face the GWS GIANTS, thanks to Westinghouse.www.saints.com.au
Ross has got a bit of the Mel Gibson crazy eyes these days..... a genuinely strange unit.
They are and its not about structure. Its about what they believe works being the only option until it is blindingly obvious to everyone that it isn't working.I hope the coaches aren't too stubborn with the structure. But history says they absolutely will be. I just can't see them moving Caminiti or Tauru forward.
Like the journo asking him if Windy was going to tag. Do they expect Ross to tell them our game plan two days early?Honestly I kind of see where he's coming from. Some of the questions are just SO dumb. Like, "is there more pressure on you now to win because you got players". I just think he's fed up with the stupidity and the way the media are all in this weird vacuum where they feed themselves.
For Pou or someone else? And a slim chance of another problem
And a slim chance of another problem
Only one problem with this statement ,They are and its not about structure. Its about what they believe works being the only option until it is blindingly obvious to everyone that it isn't working.
Ross has always had a defence orientated mindset and he would rather play an undersized forward line rather than shake up his preferred defensive structure.
And right now given that Caminiti is his preferred full back (and since his mindset is that the two ruck structure WILL work) we have to rely on Marshall as the tall fwd.
The sooner we get King back the better, than we can go to one ruck, Marshall and Caminiti playing VFL, Howard at FB and Owens can then continue to be be wasted as a fwd/2nd ruck rather than the wrecking ball mid role he should be playing.
Bangers 350th and I was at the game. Knocked the smug look off the West Coke Eagles fans. My mate got a signed jumper from Banger as he was living in the same place where the Saints stayed.Time for another (and long overdue) Ross interstate underdog masterclass.
And a slim chance of another problem
