It was either 2008 or 2009, blues are playing Hawthorn, think it was last game of minor round and Buddy was a very good chance to bring up 100 goals for the season, and think Fev might have been on 92 goals himself (maybe?).

Anyway, Nick Stevens was playing for the blues and was receiving death threats, and was told when Buddy kicked his 100 and the crowd ran on the oval, that was when Nick would get killed.

I always thought coach missed a chance that day - I'd have started Nick on Buddy. I know it is a poor match-up, but **** me he'd be motivated to stop Buddy kicking goals.

do i have to say it again. When he played as an inside mid back in 2024 he had a game with 16 Clearances and 27 contested possessions against Bont.. He can do it all if he has too, thatt not his role right now
