The frenetic pace of the games in the opening rounds if it keeps up some of the younger sides and older sides are going to cop some fearsome hidings in the second half of the season when fatigue really kicks in ..never been more important to have speed and a very high fitness base ...think we will cop some maulings this season ..but I also think we are on the right track

No wonder there is so many injuries with the frantic pace of the game especially in the first quarter and then all of a sudden you have more than 2 min break where nothing happens and the players stand around like statues....gunston marks 25m out umpire takes 15s to put him on his angle gunston, takes his full 30 seconds, puts it thu but did it flick the post another 20 seconds before all clear goal...60 seconds add break....you can also run a Cox Plate or 10 Stawell gifts in this time frame........helter skelter resumes.
