I won't lie: Petty giving anyone shit after crying foul because Zorko just randomly sledged him (it later came out that it wasn't about anyone's mum, no lines were actually crossed he legit just couldn't handle some attention) is hilarious and if I were Voss I'd be reminding him that he has a history of being able to give it but not take it too.

Probably got a bit sucked in last night but it's all a learning process of when to give it and when to reign it in. I'd rather he step over the line a few times trying to find it rather than repeatedly come up short and leave some potential ungained.

The initial story was that it was about his mum who apparently had cancer and the Melbourne media ran with it for half a week until it came out that: a) It wasn't about his mum, b) She was perfectly healthy and c) It was in response to Petty being the initiator of the sledging.

Not like the Melbourne media to run with a false story about one of theirs being hard done by is it?

Pretty much this. Needs to back it up with goals a bit more often.

I love the intensity and ability to get under the skin of his opponent(s) and their fans. But if he’s not kicking 2-3 goals a game, he needs a tap on the shoulder from his mates to take a couple steps back and focus on doing the 1 %ers. He is actually bloody good at being a team first player who can pop up for a few goals a game.

He and Amiss are great cover for Treacy to allow him to thrive.

Nothing wrong with sledging / banter as far as I'm concerned, so long as it's at the player and not anything off the field. Easy way to make someone shut up is with your performance. There is absolutely no way Voss is thinking about the Zorko instance either. Some are calling it bullying, lol...

The actual thing worth talking about is playing with too much arrogance and costing us goals. Few too many attempts to shove someone for the sake of shoving someone instead of doing the team thing

The AFL needs to create an offended round so we can raise awareness for all the men Vossy has teased on the footy field and tell them how brave they are.

Seems a few in these parts are easily offended to going by all the tut tutting over vossys “actions”

As others have pointed out pitiful petty likes to dish it out but quite clearly can’t take it - so without all the info we don’t know what he said originally to evoke Voss response - which is quite ironic as Kapow!!! Correctly pointed out the sledge/sledges petty ended up balling his eyes out to ended up being no different to what gets said probs 50 times a weekend of AFL.- however everyone just ran with the “it was about his mum” line that the MFC in all likelihood pushed to cover up the fact that their kpb is a sook

I don't think there are many on here that don't love Voss' energy and the way he goes about it (we need a bit more campaigner in this team), but he just needs to remember that footy comes first and he needs to put in the performance as well as get under the skin.

Seems like he's gotten a bit distracted going to far towards being a pest, needs to find the balance.

No issues with sledging in sport fwiw, great part of the game if above board (which balding jokes definitely are imo)

It was awesome to see the Victorian fox footy mafia last night already passing verdict , led by fox/heralds current vic cheerleading in jay clark, following on from such previous luminaries as Sheahan and Ralph.

Astounding no one ,Clark was already talking up the bad look of it especially with regards to the “mental heath” angle - much like the “Freo traded Mathew Lloyd” lie that somehow got ingrained as a fact ,it seems petty being a sook is still linked to the false narrative of it due to being sledged about his sick mum

This is all fine, but he’s not playing any worse than last year. His score involvements, tackles, defensive pressures, disposals are all at the same level.

The only difference is he’s had 7 shots on goal and kicked 1.5. If he kicks straighter, nobody is saying anything - maybe the commentators even forget he plays for us and instead champion his attitude as if he played for Hawthorn.

Also, is it better if he sledges players only when he’s dominating? Seems like that would be worse to me.
