Guess it depends if they acknowledge they made the error.
My point being albeit flippant …..it’s a stupid rule

It’s not a possession in any true sense of the word. Absolutely zero common sense applied to a rule that in itself doesn’t have any common sense for being a rule in the first place.

I like it. It should make it easier for umpires. You kick or handball it out, it's a free against. Simple.

Clearly, the umps made an error & they didn't review & reverse, as they should have.

I agree. I f that toe poke had cleared the line on the full it would have been a fee anyway, they just got the wrong player.

There’s absolutely no benefit from this rule. Insufficient intent was more than enough.

I don’t believe speeding up the game was something they needed to do or should have done. This and a few other rule tweaks have lead to higher scoring but it’s off the back of lucky breaks and turnovers… rather than winning the ball in contests.

I’m not a proponent of the thinking that a higher scoring game is a better one to watch.

I think they had the mix about right in recent years

Anything which takes out the umpire's interpretation is fine by me.

They simply got this wrong last night. It was pretty clear it was a Crow free, imo.

Oh yeah just because I don’t like the rule doesn’t mean the umpires didn’t stuff up.

Shit happens. crows didn’t lead all night and that goal was the sealer not the one that helped Geelong hit the front.

Shame Geelong got the benefit but always funny when it happens to the Crows

Insufficient intent is so open to error the rule should never have been adopted. One error for a last disposal decision does not match the mind blowing multiple failures every match of insufficient intent. In the original rules out on the full did not exist. Last possession is so good for the game, according to me.

I can sympathise with them not getting a free when they had the momentum in a close match 🥴

I guess I would have just preferred Cats to lose than Crows 😆
Doesn’t stop me laughing at the losing side. Cats were winning anyway.

It’s a bit like the lions whinging about the advantage call in the GF. They were assuming somehow that if Neale had gone back and taking his kick from 55 that it was a guaranteed goal

The Saints paid heaps for all these players and the only one that’s been any good so far is Flanders

JSOS was a nepotism hire
TDK was overpaid
Ryan has been quiet

To me, when there's doubt, it should just be a throw in rather than a review - like it's play on with unsure frees and marks.
