Carlton mods right now 🤣🤣

I only saw the last 5 minutes of the Carlton/Melbourne game but Carlton looked totally out of it and just stood around letting Melbourne do exactly as they liked. They literally appeared to have no interest in playing football.

It's sad to see a club with such tradition reduced to absolute rabble - no pride at all.

They’ve been shit ever since they got the brown paper bag racket sprung.
They keep trying for short term fixes.
Run by a bunch of arrogant old boys who think they’re entitled to success because they have always been able to buy it.
I’m so proud of the way our club has built a foundation for sustainable competitiveness

“SAD”

I think the overarching issue for both Carlton and Essendon is that they still operate like it's the late 90s, and if they can bring in enough shiny new toys everything will be fine.

My wild theory is that they'd actually benefit from a structure like us or the Eagles - they both need a good decade where decision making is detached from the more insane elements of both supporter bases.

Carlton, Port and Essendon are seriously ****ed. They are going to have to do half their rebuild through Tassie draft concessions.
I'm not convinced the Saints don't belong on this list.

The Saints are the Saints. They'll just potter around in mediocrity for another 10 years.

They do have some genuine young talent at least though I did raise when they were going all in on these names that had an eerily similar feeling to when they did it with Brad Hill and co...

It feels 100% like a SOS list build to me. Rating players on their ceilings rather than exposed evidence.

Saints are 2 seasons away from exactly where Port is now. They just keep Bringing in B and C graders on bloated contracts.

Carlolton at least has some decent you midfielders but not a lot else.

Essendon are completely cooked. They are the spooners this year for sure.

There's something on the Saints' website. Official statement by the club investigating an incident in the VFL game vs Frankston.

Could be this.

Think Saints have got enough young players in their early 20's on their list to go forward. Ross over a few seasons drops them back into the 2's a lot. Phillipou, Wilson, Garcia and the recently recruited Claremont lads that are mids, and the couple of young key talls with the blonde hair. Even blokes like Flanders, Owens, Hall they've all got more upside the more games they play. Think they've got a core of youth under 25 plus Nas.

I have zero interest in Essendon for some reason. Can anyone give me a quick summary of why they’re so bad?
Is it because their list manager is/was a fraud?

I think it’s underrated a bit how much Walls has done to build our list. Investing the blue chips wisely and getting incredible value for peanuts (Treacy) and trading in some moneyball guys like Clark and some real cream like Bolts and Jacko.

Would Carey go 1 in his draft? Sorry I meant Treacy? Oh, NWM will most likely but isn't playing as well as Treacy currently.

The Saints are paying him 2 million I wonder how much Josh is on?

I think so. Poor drafting like Richmond around Buddy Franklin time

Not 2 mil. But Treacy more likely to win a flag in the next few years than NWM.
