Vic won one at Glenelg think it was 2016. Feel like we owe them for that. We made the mistake of producing a bit of a greentop in those days of batting for 3 days.
Wasn't it a real spin friendly wicket because Jon Holland carved through the SA line up. And we lost Zampa to international duties for the final. Was a real WTF was Les Burnett doing moment.

Vics batting has been their Achilles heel all season.

The Carey/McAndrew partnership yesterday will have a few waking in the middle of the night in a cold sweat for a while

How do people feel Liam Scott rates as a genuine all-rounder against Beau Webster and Cameron Green? Got to be making up ground on them I would have thought based on results over a couple of years now.
If his Batting continues like this for another year I'd say he's a legitimate test option.

Burdett retired in 2010.
When we played the Shield Final at Gliderol they had Burdett preparing the pitches there because Hough was busy looking after Adelaide Oval.

They brought Les out of retirement like they did back in 2013 when Adelaide Oval was being redeveloped.

Ryan Harris has to be Australia's next coach.

SA took 7/37! Crazy the Vic's lost that one and at home!

Well done South Australia and well done Alex Carey actually giving a shit and playing shield when his Test summer was over. If he didn't play in the last two finals SA would not have won either of them.

Handscomb and Harris should be hanging their heads in shame.

They had weathered the storm and just had to see it out until stumps. They then could have kicked off today with less than 100 needed to win.

Instead they both played loose shots to get out, right on the brink of close of play. Not good enough from two experienced players.

A fair effort from Victoria to lose from the position they were in. Dare I say it - Tasmania-esque. :)

Still, you've got to hand it to South Australia, that is an amazing win against the odds. Carey and McAndrew's partnership was pivotal, and then the bowlers were good enough to bring the win home.

Victoria probably deserved better, having had such a strong season, but you've got to deliver your best when it matters, and they couldn't do it.

Enjoy the win Redbacks fans.

Spot on. The Shield was looking done and dusted at 3/100 and those two having weathered the storm.

Just checked the result.

**** me, that's an incredible win, we were absolutely gone at 5-27 (effectively).

Take a bow Kez and McAndrew. Build them and a Rhino statue outside AO.
