It was against Fremantle, it cost us 2 points (as we ended up drawing the game), and the two points cost us the finals. In one of Sully's early games, he threw the ball to a pie player rather than the umpire and gave away a 50m penalty.
Half the forum was after his blood but now, happily, everyone loves him.

You're talking utter shit.In one of Sully's early games, he threw the ball to a pie player rather than the umpire and gave away a 50m penalty.

it was right at the top of the goal squareYou're talking utter shit.
There was no 50m penalty, it was a free in Freo's forward 50.
And I don't recall a single person on here calling for Sully's blood, the outrage was about that free for time wasting hardly ever being paid.
The free kick was paid a few times after. Just a garbage rule. The question I have is how can it not be consistently applied, it is not possible the umpire did not see it. To pay it then, at that stage of the match and front of goal.It was against Fremantle, it cost us 2 points (as we ended up drawing the game), and the two points cost us the finals.
I don't believe many people were after blood from Sullivan, definitely after blood from the umpire, and I've never seen that free kick paid before or after that decision. I think that decision was even worse than the missed free kick on Elliott in the last prelim against the Brions.
Aish became a reliable solid player who played 186 AFL games. I'll be stoked if Parker becomes as good as Aish.Whilst I agree with the anderson assessment, I disagree with the parker and aish link. Parker is a far better defender than aish, and we will need his defense against the lions mids and small forwards.
What a bizarrely hostile response. You're talking utter shit.

Unlikely given he tweaked his ankle and didn't finish the gameI could get around Harrison coming into the team for Pendles instead of Allan.
Oh ok, thanks for being so helpful and setting me straight. You're talking utter shit.

Bullish??? You’ve omitted Steene.Tight turn this week.
heres my line up v lions old gabba.
fb: iq frampton maynard
cb: houston howe lipinski
c: allan nick daicos josh daicos
cf: mccreery timmy shultz
ff: elliott mcstay buller
r: cameron de goey crisp
int: side steele parker cochrane
a win in this one could set us up nicely early on this season
bullish here.
happy hunting grounds gabba and next week at ao.
probably win one out of the next 2 games.
Tipping Pies by 12 points.
Which, out of; Elliott, De Goey, Schultz and McCreery are you dropping? I’m assuming Sidey and Lipinski are midfield.I've only seen one game of footy this year so basically NFI how 5 on the bench influences selection. I like West and Buller as prospects though, if they dominate for a few weeks in the 2s it might be fun to see how three tall forward and two rucks go
I'm not so sure, we still need to protect Howe and he's not a lock down defender. The challenge that we have with Morris is that he can be deadly from any angle close to goal - reckon Maynard is a better matchup for Morris, Parker to Bailey, Howe to Cameron, BBF to Allen, Houston to Loman and IQ to McCarthy - that frees up Perryman for a job on either Will Ashcroft of Lachie NealFair to say we will be sending howe to morris?
I can't see us selecting Anderson for three reasons:Parker in, and not Allan. Both were dropped after the Adelaide game, but only one of them was underperforming.
I know Allan did better in the VFL, but I’m not convinced. I’d prefer Sullivan, or Anderson if the club thinks he’s ready.
Now that I think about it, definitely Anderson. He has more of the ‘goer’ about him than the stolid (stolid not solid) and dependable Sully.
They tend to get a heavy dew in Brisbane this time of year, don't reckon the conditions will suit our talls, I'd give Buller another run in the VFL (I'll be heading out to Coburg on Friday, can't wait to see how Reefer goes).Would we try stretch their defence but playing Buller too along with Oscar and mcstay.
He was in black
A very interesting one. Did Buller train forward or back? I didn’t want Buller out, that block of games idea. Now that he is out I am reluctant to make changes to a winning side. Moore and Howe are two changes. For Buller to play it would be a forward for a back. Even with Brisbane’s pace something about it appeals, but ….Would we try stretch their defence but playing Buller too along with Oscar and mcstay.

Cameron, Steene, McStay, Membrey, AND Buller? I don't like it, we're already slow once the ball hits the deck - given it's going to be hot, humid and with a small chance of a shower, it could be extra slippery.Would we try stretch their defence but playing Buller too along with Oscar and mcstay.
He was in black
That would be sacrificing too much speed. As it is we aren't a particularly fast side, we don't need to compound that any further with an additional tall.Would we try stretch their defence but playing Buller too along with Oscar and mcstay.

Nah not cool how dare you not beg forgiveness for mistaking a free kick for 50m penalty that had the same ramifications!Oh ok, thanks for being so helpful and setting me straight.
Free kick not 50m penalty.
Mea maxima culpa.
