Out: Alger, Armstrong, Hopper & Ralphsmith.
In: Peuker, Fawcett, McAuliffe & OHB.

Would give OHB a message he has 3 games to show us what he is willing to offer, which gives Ryan a few weeks to get his fitness up & see if his form warrants the chance back in the team. I also think Hopper needs to find his form & a stint in the VFL where he can go all out against less talented players & earn his spot back is what I think is needed. Fawcett's form has been solid & worthy of a chance to replace Armstrong while he is out, same for Peucker with the unfortunate injury to Alger. I think Retschko would be next in line for a call up & hope he continues to push his case in the next few weeks.

I know we are hopeful this week, but we need to be realistic. Our injury list has 11 people on it, all of whom are in our best 25 players.

It’s not impossible to win, but it’s not far off with the injuries. We just need to keep our heads.

I’m hoping to see some youngsters excel and no injuries - anything else is a bonus.

Bit of a harsh call on Fawcett, he takes 5 marks and the coach says "love to see him start bringing down a few more of his chances in the air"

with Lynch and Armstrong now out, if he doesn't get a spot in the seniors, his dad will come back on here and tell us to bash it I reckon.

Collingwood bound

Good call. We won’t get within 5 goals of Port. Will make for interesting reading 7:30pm Sat night

We're missing 4 or 5 best 23. Same as Port. No excuses.

Have a feeling we will move Lefau to play as a permanent forward with Faull and (Fawcett remains in the VFL) :(

Alger spot will get replaced with Kmac, with Rioli, Green, Campbell as our permanent small forwards.

OBH to play his first game over Gray

Apart from the obvious in Cumming, Burton is the one I wanna see. I think his workrate will translate well to AFL level, and his ball use has been a lot better than I was expecting after reading his draft profile.
Hes quick too yeah? Can always do with a little more speed

Was thinking the same thing with the ruck scenario - realistically nank will be out for 8 the way things are going - so give them 4 weeks each to have a real crack. That'll tell us whether they're worth keeping on the list - which I strongly suspect they're not unfort. I hope we are scouring the nation for the next best ruck option available

Bit of a harsh call on Fawcett, he takes 5 marks and the coach says "love to see him start bringing down a few more of his chances in the air"
VFL was horrible kid never had a chance but always contesting.

Josh Gibcus (10 disposals, 3 marks, 8 kicks)
"It was a solid game in defence by Josh. He had a bit to deal with as the ball was coming in pretty fast. I thought he'd made some good decisions in the air, whether to mark or spoil. The more Josh can lead and control the backline at the VFL level, the better it will prepare him for when he has an opportunity at the AFL level again."

Zane Peucker (3 goals, 16 disposals, 3 tackles)
"It was another strong offensive game from Zane. He was able to hit the scoreboard a few times. What I loved most was his ability to win or halve a front-and-centre contest. He even joined in the aerial contest and took a nice little hanger."

Noah Roberts-Thomson (1 goal, 12 disposals, 3 tackles)
"I thought Noah played a solid game. He could have had an outstanding game, but he just let himself down a little bit with his execution. He’s doing all the hard things, getting all the right spots, working his tail off. Now it's just about finishing the play and rewarding himself for all the good work he's doing."

Kane McAuliffe (24 disposals, 4 tackles, 3 marks)
"It was a bit of a challenging game for Kane, in terms of dealing with the emotions of being sick last week and then missing out of the selection this week. He’ll definitely be better for the run. He is an AFL ready player, so it’s important to continue to play above the level when he is in the VFL."

Patrick Retschko (24 disposals, 5 marks, 2 tackles)
"Pat continues to find plenty of the footy at the VFL level. His ability to cover the ground and challenge teams ahead of the ball is impressive. He can continue to work on his decision making, as he is playing some good footy."

Liam Fawcett (1 goal, 8 disposals, 5 marks)
"He continues to bring his aerial power and presence. Fawcett had multiple shots at goal again and bought his aerial power. I'd love to see him start bringing down a few more of his chances in the air. He had a positive impact for us on the day."

Tom Burton (21 disposals, 7 marks, 4 tackles)
"Burto played really well on the weekend. He continues to improve in his role, and his passion to get better is impressive. Every week, he is adding something to his game, and he was one of the players out there that led the way with his pressure and work rate."

Kaleb Smith (27 disposals, 3 tackles, 2 marks)
"I love Kaleb's game when he plays with a defensive mindset. He uses the ball really well, so finding the balance of when to defend and when to attack as a high back is important. He’s showing great leadership at the VFL level for our younger team."

Samson Ryan (14 hit outs, 6 disposals)
"It was Sampson’s first game back from injury for the year. He showed some good glimpses of his best footy. He'll be better for the run, and I loved his leadership on the day."

Oliver Hayes-Brown (10 disposals, 5 clearances)
"Ollie showed some good ruck craft getting on top at centre bounce and he was finding a bit of his own football with a few marks long down the line. He can still work on his physicality to dominate stoppages around the ground and impose himself on the game more."

Interesting report for k Mac "It was a bit of a challenging game for Kane, in terms of dealing with the emotions of being sick last week and then missing out of the selection

MRJ is similar to Hopper, he needs to go back to the vfl and play midfield for however long it takes for him to get better with ball in hand
