Anyone know if they had concession tickets?

In the rush to grab 4 tickets, I got 4 adult and did not pick 2 adult, 2 concession.

Wonder if Ticketmaster will let me adjust/refund the difference?

Doesn't look like you could select the ticket type (Adult Concession etc). Could be wrong though

Its the NFL and Australia so of course they overcharged for tickets.
So glad I decided to skip it would of cost a fortune

If I flew in from perth i'd fly in Wednesday and leave Monday morning.
So looking at minimum
$1000 flights
$2000 Accom
$920 game ticket (want to spend for good ticket)

Throw in spending money be looking at 5k easy. Rather go to Germany or UK if going to spend that sort of coin not the other side of Australia.

I think level 4 for $350 is not to bad value, you'll probably get a better view than the $630 tickets.

Like the Oasis gigs in Melbourne I think people will buy tickets and then change plans or other reasons they can't go so I think if you miss out at the start you'll still have a chance to get tickets right up to the day of the game.

The “restricted view” up the front could be seriously bad. Depends what the side line setup is. Could be tents, cameras etc.

I suspect somewhere in the Ts & Cs it'll say that not only will they not refund the difference, there's a $22.95 fee for asking the question.

😂 The fees they charge as are hilarious
Fees seem over the top but that is where the ticketing companies make their money

Now of course their is profit in there, but that's where the IT systems ext are funded

Every ticket should have a restricted view caveat.
You can’t see the play at the mcg when they do a ball up in the centre circle ?

Most of the game is played in the center of the ground as opposed to near or far wings like AFL.

I think the rhetoric of it being poor viewing isn’t reallly truthful.

I remember the days when they used to charge you a phone booking fee... And wanted everyone to go digital so that they could save on the people costs.... Now were charged for that....

Literally different playing fields. The normal NFL live viewing experience will be restricted regardless of the seat you are in.

Soccer, rugby league, union are all compromised viewing on oval fields. If not, why don't more of those sports play on them?

I'm assuming you are familiar with how many people are on either sideline that will need to be seen over or through?

Trust me, a good portion of the crowd will be taking selfies and shit posting. Like when Liverpool played the MCG

Even better if there’s a crowd of NFL dudes in the background

Yeah I gotta feeling there might be a Mexican wave or 2 and some batting about of inflatable balls like the old school ODIs

Too many people trying to blame their poor eyesight on the MCG. I've sat in just about every position you can get at the MCG from back row level 4 to on the fence level 1.

Yes you do occasionally lose the ball when it gets to the other side of the ground when sitting on the fence. Outside of that I have no trouble seeing anything that happens during a game unless you get wrong sided. But that happens no matter what stadium you watch a sport in.

I bet all of you will say it was a shit experience/

Thing is, American Football, Rugby Union, Rugby League, Soccer, and Australian Football are very different types of games (obviously) but that includes the play type, the ball, the motion of bodies, spacing, etc.

NFL on the cricket pitch is a mass of bodies lined up congested, the ball is handed under a guy's legs inside that mass of bodies, to a guy standing up against his butt, inside that mass of bodies, who often hands that ball off to a guy who runs into that wall of bodies, and every so often he throws it in that 5-10 yard bubble around that mass of bodies. The viewing experience from the stands is a mass of bodies moving and colliding inside that 5-10 yard bubble for the most part.

RU has the maul, kinda like Am.F but there's plenty of passing the ball around and kicking with many players spread out across the field horizontally. There's more spacing and more ball movement and motion of bodies. Rl is exactly the same but without the maul, so even more spacing of player positions and ball movement.

Soccer and AFL very similar, players all over the playing field, lots of spacing, lots of ball movement.
