it's not factually incorrect as I asked a question. I think he was 8th after Round 16.

The fact of the matter is that supporters like you wanted him dropped because you couldn't see the bigger picture which was that he has been playing out of his best role. Instead, you'd prefer to yell at the selectors to drop him instead of yelling at the coaches to change his role.

He also set up Fritch's first goal in the granny. Fritsch marked it on the line though. Anyway don't get salty just because Sparrow is producing really good footy and he's shut supporters up that didn't believe he had this level of footy in him.

And if you're going to be balanced, why aren't you saying for guys like Windsor to be out of the team, or Lever, who is literally the pin up for poster boy for headless chookery. Anyway, Sparrow has been in the votes the last 2 games so don't come at me if he has a quite game because his form has bought himself a lot of time. And whilst he's finding more of the ball, that's not how I measure his form, it's his workmate and that's never changed.

You literally did say that he made our top 10 in our best and fairest last year. You even made that claim in the Windsor thread. It's weird how you're in complete denial of it given that your posts are there for everyone to see.

And if he has really been playing his role to the best of his abilities then I find it funny how his form in 2024 was so bad that Goodwin (a notoriously stubborn coach) decided to drop him. And it's not as if his 2025 was much of an upgrade on that.

It checks out that you keep referencing 2021 as evidence given that you always bang on about Oliver as if he is the same player as he was then.

I completely laughed when you mentioned 'balance' while bagging Sparrow and praising Lever and Windsor. Windsor is tracking along totally fine for a 21 year old and Lever, like Sparrow, has stepped up massively the past fortnight.

As for being 'salty,' I have on multiple occasions given him credit for his past two weeks and included him in my votes.

It's like I'm arguing with a wall at this point.

Lets simplify it. People wanted him dropped, and this year he's been one of our best players after getting more midfield time. At no point did you, or many posters acknowledge that playing at HF isnt his role.

imo, people don't value the defensive stuff in his game enough. It's so important to have a few of these guys in the team. Sparrow/Chandler/Pickett are just so important to do thr 1%ers. Its ANB all over again. You had fans that rated him throughout his whole career (ppl like me) and you had fans that called for him to be dropped when he'd have 8 touches in a game from HF, completely overlooking how important the defensive stuff is.

Sparrow was put into the leadership group wasnt he? Thats says more about where the coaches rate him than being dropped once in 6 years (or however long he's been at the club).

People treating Sparrow like he was a 1st round draft pick or something...its weird. How about a bit of criticism for guys that are drafted in the 1st round and are recruited to be superstars of the comp.

As do the performances of Windsor and Langford that don't speak star calibre at least to me. And hey, if they do become stars then great, I just don't see it. And that's fine. I was wrong on Jefferson and looking like I'm wrong on Lindsay and Laurie but I was definitely not wrong about Sparrow, Windsor and Langford.

Tom Sparrow is like a good ANB.

He is a little way off of ANB, who has more strings to his bow. Sparrow could be a more effective mid than ANB though, who is better forward of centre.

Of all the guys in our team he seems to be the one who has benefited the most from Trac/Oliver leaving and Viney not playing. Is actually using his power in close now and finding the footy (Which has been his biggest problem).
