According to the north board they were reamed by the umps? Agree umpiring was average but gee whiz we copped some bad ones too
The North board complains about the umps incessantly. I have been a North member many times over the last 40 years but I gave up on their thread because of the puerile comments on the umpiring every week.

They should be talking about the two times in the first half when two of our goals should have been touched through. Really basic footy to have a big bloke down there with that job. They won't because I their thread is an umpire bashing echo chamber.

Take 10 points off our score and they would have hit the front in the last quarter (all other things being equal).

Thought Gallop showed some really good signs too, i know some were wishing we played Joyce.
Agree, if we get a decent amount of games into him in defence at AFL level by finals he'll be a level above what Darragh Joyce can offer IMO, Ty will learn so much playing in the same area of the ground as Harris and Froggy.

Let them have it, it’s all they have left.

A shame to see Zorko cop a bad injury. Hopefully not a season ender. Backline just keeps copping a hammering. The adversity will help us in the long run but if it's a weekly occurrence it makes it hard.

Draper and Allen are really warming to the task at the moment.

Expect to see Ashcroft get tagged more but with McLuggage back that won't hurt us that much..

Tipping Berry to get a week off unfortunately. The only mitigating factor was the lack of assessment or anything but they seem to be throwing out one week bans like candy.

Hopefully classed as low contact. Fair shout considering he got straight up and took the kick.

Except if your Sidebottom and you elbow someone in the guts

You could make a good case that Berry was just trying to punch the ball and really just glanced across the neck of his opponent who got straight up and was hardly affected.

I don't think there was anything in it except they'll give a week because Christian's just there waiting to justify his existence and one of our players getting rubbed out is a positive.

Gallop needs some sideline coaching from Gardiner. Dizzy is a master of body contact, half grapples and making it a scrag. Dizzy would not have allowed Trembath to keep flying for marks - Gallop can definitely learn this part and add it to his arsenal.

I think this is where Im at. I think Joyce is better right now and if it was a do or die final I would pick Joyce. But I really see Gallop developing and could overtake Joyce pretty quickly.

Joyce was unlucky to be dropped and we are pretty lucky to have him locked in as an emergency every week. Hes great coverage

I love Gallop but he has a lot to learn bout defensive play. He did get better as the game wore on today.

I also love Joyce who's a big unit, reliable , totally knows his limitations disposal wise and is a great footsoldier.

I'm not saying one or the other . I'm happy for either but it wouldn't surprise if Gallop got the hang of it after a few more games.

I genuinely felt I learnt nothing watching that game.

I learnt that I'm still a nut case who loses it when an opposition i don't rate gets ahead of us in any part of a game.

I'm absurd. I believed we'd win, even when behind, but I still have the emotional reaction of a ... of a ... of a bloody toddler (aka football fan).

Is so frustrating. I want to be a grown up managing my emotions but don't want to stop watching the Lions. What to do?!?

You've got a lot of work ahead of you Gadzorks.

Meditation twice a day ,20 minutes minimum

Your mantra is ..' it's only a game of footy '... focus on your mantra.

A couple of years of that with no copping out and you should be good to go.

Uggh. ADHD does not do two days in a row let alone two years.

two premierships should be a short cut to inner peace.

Admit it, in the safety of your living room when Norf got ahead you muttered ‘sack fagan’

Thought without Parker we probably beat them by 10+ goals. He did so much for them defensively and setting up their attack.

I’m curious if the accidental elbow to the head that Kai received will be sighted. No concussion, but ultimately not dissimilar to Harris’s incident - fortunately more of a glancing blow.
