I hope all WA members and supporters do not attend.

There nothing to be gained by rewarding this shit.

WA Blues will always turn out.

2nd ruck?

Think Reidy might come in for Freo. Don't like playing both Pitto and Reidy, but with H out not sure we've got much choice.

It would have to be Derksen. But hell, make Cripps do it and at least we will have an extra midfielder at centre bounces.

I wondered if Reidy might come in for his old club, but it would be a mistake. Still, he'd straighten us out, offer mongrel and bring the ball to ground up forward.

Cripps should be dropped. Make a stance.

Next best choice play him 2nd ruck and forward pocket.

His lack of defensive run and all too frequent attempts to do too much are no longer offset by his clearance dominance. That's part on him and part on the speed of the game.

They won’t drop Cripps.

Now I think of it, has a captain ever been dropped?

Fwiw I don't think they'll drop him either but he's a net liability this season.
I think anyone other than the most one eyed Blues fan can see that.

I don’t know his contract status off the top of my head but this year really should be it with us.

They won’t drop Byrne after that game. It would kill the kid.
Agree. He probably does need a spell in the 2s, but not this week. Would be totally the wrong message to a kid that is giving it his all.

You’re right they probably won’t drop him.

But I’m looking at his overall recent form. Byrne has played a block of 4 games against Melbourne, North, Crows and Collingwood. He only turned 18 in Nov last year and playing 4 of the first 6 games in his first year is a fair effort, that not every new player gets the chance to.

We’re coming into a block of tougher teams like Freo, Lions away, Bulldogs and Saints at Marvel and Geelong. There’s nothing wrong with Byrne going back to the VFL to work on his game. We also need to consider the form and opportunity for other young players working on their games in the VFL like Moir, Flynn etc.
