1- I thought Gallop was very good, is gaining confidence down back, love is competitiveness.
2- Wilmot found some form, he has great closing speed in defensive situations.
3- Draper could end up the recruit of the season, improving every week, love to see him kick a bag next week against the Bombers.
4- Half way through last season I thought Charlie was done, since GF day he has been awesome.

We are back baby, don't slip up next week in a game we should win easily.

There was an incident pretty late in the game where I thought Gallop clunked a mark and the umpire gave the mark to the Crow in front, can anyone who was watching the vision from home tell me if my eyes were deceiving me or did the umpire get it wrong.

Kangaroos went on from that and scored, Gallop had a word to the umpire who made the decision.

Was utter bullshit. Robbed of a brilliant mark.

Man in front. Looked the right call on the tv

Was definitely paid for man in front but I wasnt 100% sure. Mostly as I dont think he held it long enough. Gallop ripped it out and came down strong.

But not close to the worst umpiring we saw

Okay so allow me this indulgence. I think that's the first time I have contributed to the game day thread and not needed new linen. I dunno just felt like we were well on top early.

Good performance and we looked on early. Not putting heaps in it as the crowd just looked very flat

I know the extra tall worked for Melbourne but that was a baffling call from Adelaide. walker was predictably struggling after a great game given he is 52yo. They were basically a man down in general play. Funnily enough Murray looked good forward. Should have played him over Maley.

No injuries key let's see how that shakes out.

Dons will lift but we should go 6-3, and have cats off a short break for them.

This was the hunting I said was missing last week.
Gallop might end up playing back seems to be growing confidence every game. Who knows if Payne will even play this year.
Linc to backline a great move can out mark those quick smalls, has some pace and body size.
Even though Charlie was missing goals last year he still was doing the job defensively.
You notice a few Crows players stuff up their kicks as Charlies was coming.

You say Answerth comes back for Tunstill. Who you think go out again.
Unless we give Bruce a rest.

I gave votes to Linc, Neale, Wash and Charlie
Could of gone Lester, Motty, Connor, Fort or Andrews with the last gave it to Gallop

McCarthy made a few skill errors but damn he blanketed Rankinr when on him. Unfortunately Bailey allowed Rankine a goal otherwise a non event by both Rankine and Rachele. Both spudded it up tonight.

I was a bit sceptical of Charles having a turn around in form but tonight cemented it. AA year inbound. Fantastic year so far.

I wonder if Rankine will get looked at for the late bump on Neale? Yet another cheap shot from him. Probably expected an easier game with no Starc or Answerth, but McCarthy sure validated the positional change, and took the honours.

As per normal, a few short steps and head ducks from Rachele. A leopard doesn't change it's spots - he's still dead-set petrified out there. Still not convinced he'll turn into an A Grade midfielder (as been touted), while he shirks contact.

Thought our rucks got going early (particularly Draper), full-ground pressure was back (as we predicted would occur after last week!), Gallop was a rock, and I'm loving Cameron being back in form. Doesn't look like missing on goal - a far cry from last year. Thought McKenna too reminded us all that there's still a fair bit of AFL footy left in him.

There was a moment late when Frog had made his way into the forward half, ball in hand, could have blazed away and no one would have thought less of him. Instead he calmly centred it. Experiences and team first ethos.

Will Ashcroft’s ability to put a light touch on his forward entries must be a delight for leading forwards. A couple of times he seemed to just guide the ball into a teammate’s hands with just the right weight.

Shoutout to Levi Ashcroft as well. Live at the game he is our busiest winger and that hard work is often what gets us out of being trapped in the defensive half when the opposition press forward. Not super spectacular but really critical to get the moment back on our terms.

Darcy Fort has been so good this season, really thriving alongside The Drape.

Great win. Clearly had the pride pricked last week, and felt like we made a statement.

Agree with the love for Gallop. Has some great qualities. Hard to believe we’ve extracted two key position players out of speculative picks two years in a row.

Coleman great again and seems to be building each week. His fitness has noticeably improved, as have his defensive efforts. His spoils, chases and tackles were great. It might be just me, but I can’t recall him being that strong in those areas prior to his injuries. It’s a credit to him the way he’s got himself up and going this year.

Exciting to be back on the winners list after last week. Let’s hope we keep the intensity up for the Bombers.

I've caught the replay on a screen when eating after the game. Gallop was juggling the ball and didn't have control before it looked like it hit the ground. Which should have made it a ball up.

Will watch again tomorrow.
