This is not champion data. And to be honest this ratings system seems totally bizarre.

I know (I'm not paying for a CD subscription) but the ratings shown are similar. Average teams don't drop their better players. You might not rate him as our second-best player and you might think he is 10th or 11th for example (I think he's in our top-6 approximately). But to suggest he is 24th or worse???? Get real man. How exceptional do you think the rest of our list is, to think that he is 24th or worse? Who are the 23 players better than him? List them.

I actually never stated I wanted Parish dropped, I just think your justification to all of the "non educated posters" is stupid.

If you didn’t want Parish dropped I apologise. Many do for some weird reason. Hewett was dropped to make a statement. Maybe there’s something Hewett wasn’t doing that the coaches want. Parish, for all his faults is in the top 6 for most statistical categories and there is no indication from the coaching team that he’s in the “bad books” or not following instructions like is suspected with Hewett. Parish is a top 10 player for us at the very least. He’s not getting dropped.

Whether you agree with the ratings or not is beside the point. For anyone to suggest Parish is NOT one of the best 23 players is idiotic. Think about what you're saying. You must rate Essendon's list exceptionally highly if you somehow think there are 23 players more worthy of a senior berth than our statisticlaly second best player.

He's not getting dropped. Fringe players get dropped. He's not a fringe player clearly and you know it.

It is not 23 players who need to be more worthy. Just midfielders as he can't play anywhere else.

I understand your point. Still a big call to drop him, when he was one of our best players against Melbourne and Gold Coast and has had the one bad game in a row (along with 14 other players), yet he's the one to make way??

That was my point, not that I think he will get dropped either.

I don't care about stats, rankings etc.

If posters think Parish could be dropped because he wasn't hard enough in the contest for example, that's maybe something the coaches wanted that he has to work on in the VFL for a week or two. It's totally reasonable for someone to think that could be the case despite the likelihood of it happening.

We know Brad won’t drop Parish, he has been pretty good the past few weeks and if he didn’t drop him after the first 3 weeks, he ain’t dropping him on the back of a poor game.

Blakiston was just so poor.

From memory I think Cox was in the goalsquare in the last and snagged a few. He was certainly a hard matchup.

Yeah, we went in with no support for Kako. Even Gresham would have given better balance. Poor by selectors compounded with inclusion of Sharp who is a bit slow forward and still finding his feet.

Then take out the dynamic Edwards and we were really stagnant in the fwd line.

Cox has been playing forward in the VFL since The latest Jones injury and it’s the first time in years he’s looked like a decent football player.
