Are you advocating that Richmond should extend Rioli an Sonsie? I hope you’re joking.
I hope he is joking as well. It should be Rioli and Ralphsmith being extended.

yeah because triple premiership rucks who have captained young kids grow on treesNank will be 33 before Tassie enters the comp, not sure he'd be much value by then given the battering his body has taken in his career.
sadly that applies to nearly everyone i know and most of the RFCNank has been a loyal servant to the club, but his best days are behind him.
Why a priority? We have holes everywhere that need filling. There are plenty of footballers available that would improve our side and I do not see any one player being enough.

He's body needs to be capable of playing and flying every other week for it to be worth it IMOyeah because triple premiership rucks who have captained young kids grow on trees
Gale would know where he does his best workHe's body needs to be capable of playing and flying every other week for it to be worth it IMO
Don't want all of our eggs in the Sims basket.Maybe they are thinking to try Tom Sims in the ruck (199cm) before spending first pick in ruck.
Might be a short flight from Hobart to Melbourne, but when you're doing it every other week, then the weeks where they fly to WA SA NSW & QLD will add up. I mean if they want to get him in and throw us a pick to do so then go right ahead, but I'm not so sure Nankervis goes on after his contract with us ends next year.Gale would know where he does his best work
It's a short flight from Tas to Melbourne
If he just plays home games and helps develop the kids for a year before moving into coaching it'd be worth it. If they follow the gws path (which worked much better than the gold coast path to build the initial list). He's body needs to be capable of playing and flying every other week for it to be worth it IMO
Wasn't advocating that we should get him, just like him as a player. No way. Better off playing Alger, Peucker etc

Still wouldn't be worth it.Sign Hugo for 1. AFL owe us a bullshit band 1 compo for players that one day played a half decent game in their local under 12's
Oh, the old Nank, who would be a second midfielder and going forward, kicking 2 or 3 goals—what a player! But like anything, he's getting injuries and is older, so I wouldn't be surprised if, from what I heard, he's calling it quits at the end of the season. If we can get 2 or 3 players like him, we just might start improving. On your post, no body can't handle it anymore. He's body needs to be capable of playing and flying every other week for it to be worth it IMO

I've really enjoyed seeing his development recently. I don't know what it is with him but I rarely see him lose a 50/50 ball. He also gets to so many contests. We need a player like Ryan Angwin. For me he would be perfect for us. Silky left footer, high work rate and touch of class. Vic boy, target him.

presumably he won't go to WA or Qld.Might be a short flight from Hobart to Melbourne, but when you're doing it every other week, then the weeks where they fly to WA SA NSW & QLD will add up. I mean if they want to get him in and throw us a pick to do so then go right ahead, but I'm not so sure Nankervis goes on after his contract with us ends next year.
Ash is like Whitfield, they look world beaters when on top but have crap disposal under pressure. He was a big part of GWS' loss to the Hawks in the Ef,. Had Hogan and Stringer and Cadman and kicked it to Hawks again and again.View attachment 2595590
Looking at the above team, I would make a few changes/additions:
- Hotton to HFF
- Banks to wing/HBF
- Sims add to bench
I think one of Mansell/Algar/Peucker will make it in the FP but I’m not 100% and think this could be a position for upgrade.
With the above it effectively leaves 1 wing, 1 FP and 4 bench spots available.
2026 draft - pick range are estimated and I know some players might be wishful thinking being available but they’re the type I’d like at those picks.
Pick 1 - Harry Van Hattum
Pick 17 (compensation pick) - Marlon Neocleous (I can see him sliding due to height and not being super fast - I see him more Dovaston then Watson) or Koby LeCras as a winger or high HFF link player
Pick 20 - Ethan Drever or Gus Teixeira
Pick 30 Tanner Armstrong
I would also be using this year as an important time to get into the ears of potential Tassie pre list players and say we would love you at the Tigers
2027
Pick 2 dream result - Baxter Sruk
Only way I see this happening is if he doesn’t nominate to pre list and Jake Miller or Axel Walsh absolutely dominate over the next 18 months.
Free agent I would be targeting in 2027 is Lachie Ash.
yes, the Brogan option. If he just plays home games and helps develop the kids for a year before moving into coaching it'd be worth it. If they follow the gws path (which worked much better than the gold coast path to build the initial list).
