Positive:
-Consistently generating enough supply and field position. This is a big change to recent years.

I’ve been a big defender of the field position gains, but it’s not valuable field position. 45m out on the boundary doesn’t do anything for us. You cop it when there’s relentless pressure on the ball against superior sides, but even with Richmond’s backline being their strongest unit you still have to try and ask them a question from time to time.

If we can’t force a stoppage deep in the forward pocket it’s not really letting us set up the wall, and if we do find a target they’re taking such low percentage shots it doesn’t really tell over the course of the game.

They’re entries for entries sake at the moment, Essendon have fallen into this trap for years under Brad Scott which is a frightening comparison in 2026.

When CDT, a ****ing ruckman, has more tackles than 99% of the squad, nearly double 95% of the squad. It shows how pathetic the defensive intent is from this group of players. Disgusting.

No positives today, **** that.

Negatives:
Mini and the defensive coaching line have no ****ing clue what they are doing. Oppo players 10m off the ball everywhere on transition (when we lose the ball).
Young is not a defender, the guy sits off the contest and just wants to intercept and if it comes to a 1v1 will only take the rear position. Is next to useless.
Duggan 72 meters gained as a Half-Back. Putrid. Goes slow when he has the ball and always backwards or sideways. Otherwise it's dump kicks for days.

Waterman - If he's ****ing injured get him off the ground he clearly is carrying something otherwise he should be dropped to the WAFL until he learns where the ball needs to go when kicking at goal.

Lindsay - What the **** was that kick where he kicked it directly to a Tiger forward out of our d50, wasn't even a west coast jumper within 40m of the guy.

Champion - Kicked a goal but otherwise was a complete liability, can't tackle at AFL level right now and doesn't even tackle in the fwd 50 when ball hits the deck.

Hewett - **** right off, completely useless, go to the WAFL and don't come back till you can play some level of football.

Shoenberg - Useless as well, **** off.

Milans worst game for the club so far.

Umpires can **** right off too.

This club has zero ****ing mongrel and heart to it. At least Harley looks like he gives a shit when he loses a contest, the rest of these ****s couldn't give two shits.

I don't want any excuses from this club today or tomorrow. That was the most disgusting performance of the year, including the 100pt beltings. Perhaps even worse than the Sydney annihilation from a few years ago.

Yeah it’s a bizarre comment to be worrying about any aspect of Harley’s game at this point in time (other than his discipline). The bloke had 19 contested, 10 clearances and 2 goals. Who gives a **** if he has a quiet quarter.

And we went 18-7, 16-8 & 12-6 in 2018/19/20 respectively, just to show how bad it's been since then.

These comments are ignorant and downplay the decision making of the likes of Nisbett & Gavin Bell.

Nisbett & Bell allowed us to go through periods without a List Manager. They also promoted O’Brien before he inevitably left. The list management in their past three years was disgraceful and we’re still paying the price today.

Everything goes back to the Tim Kelly trade. The player is fine (exactly what I said he would be), the picks given up weren't that great, but it set a new benchmark for being pushovers. NFW if roles are reversed Geelong are giving up what we did given the leverage. Prior to that we won and lost trades, hit and missed on picks, players came in, players went out and we generally didn't rock the boat too much. Have we showed backbone in any trade period since?

That's just the off field side of things. Everyone of note that comes into WC from elsewhere (Jarrad Schofield, Jack Graham, I think possibly also Duncan who came in from Geelong) has publicly commented that our training standards are below par. We weren't a good team in 2020/21. We were a team with a good list of 25-30 players that coasted on having a few guys that could impact games. We were winning games off playing good halves and good quarters because we were talented enough. As soon as we lost our stars to injury/retirement we went from playing a one or two good quarters to none and no team wins like that.

I've been a seated member with WC for 27yrs, and not even in the truly awful years of the Ken Judge era was I as despondent with the team as I am right now.

I'm not angry, just disappointed...

First of all **** Kayo, I have up 10 minutes into the 4th quarter after the 93rd either complete slowdown or stop. It only happens on eagles games and I'm an eagles digital member. The rest of the game 90% of it was in 250p with the only thing resembling watchable was in tight. It's a ****ing disgrace. Never a slowdown during any other games, never a slow down in Moto 3, Moto 2 or Moto GP that I watch, all a perfect picture with perfect clarity at all times. I have a wired 1000mb connection to the tv so don't try and tell me it's not your bullshit.

Secondly keep him on till the end of the year but Mini has to be sacked. We get done exactly the same way every single week and he has no response. Even when dominating we have no run from behind because we press too high and when the opposition wins it they essentially run a training drill back to their goals. It just doesn't work.

Thirdly dropping 2 talls so someone like McCarthy is playing on a resting ruck or tall forward is a ****ing disgrace and everyone involved in that decision should be made to do suicides until they vomit so it never happens again.

The umpires continue to have 2 sets of rules. A rule for Harley Reid and a rule for everyone else. The club needs to grow some ****ing balls and publicly call it out. I don't care if they have to spend a couple of million saturating media with it.

Lastly **** the AFL, we travelled last week, Richmond didn't and they get an 8 day break vs our 6. This is a continuation that has been going on for years. It was either last year or the year before that whereby our opponents had 15 games of the season with at least 1 more days break than us.

This 'system' by the club will not win a premiership, the game has moved on and unless the AFL stops the blatant and utter prejudice and corruption against the club we will never win a premiership again.
