Can stay in the WAFL until the tank is built up.

My thoughts on Hewett.
1. Prob needs more WAFL
2. But if selected, leave him in AFL side all season.
take that. better than owies.I saw Hewett on Friday against Perth.
Looks a long way off it.
Hard to see him being a full time mid this season.
Would like to see him play half forward where he's more of a chance to make it

In an ideal world he becomes a regular best 23I guess in an ideal world Hewett becomes that Zac Bailey, Cam Rayner, Bailey Humphrey type, 80% high forward, 20% mid getting a goal or two and 18-24 touches a game
He aint a pea heart like chesser tho.How ironic that we are once again in the exact same situation with Hewett as we were last year, and potentially since he started.
Can't run out a full game because he hasn't built his match fitness up, because he's always coming back from one injury or another.
The exact thing we all flagged in the offseason as being the most important thing for Hewett to take a step forward this year, him staying healthy and getting a solid run at it, is already giving us a bit of grief.
It's not Chesser levels, but this is 4 injury plagued in/out seasons in a row now unfortunately.
Could easily be a straight swap for owiesI saw Hewett on Friday against Perth.

Tbh in an ideal world hes a 60-80% CBA mid, hff was always a back up optionI guess in an ideal world Hewett becomes that Zac Bailey, Cam Rayner, Bailey Humphrey type, 80% high forward, 20% mid getting a goal or two and 18-24 touches a game
I thought I had just been to Owies testimonial game. Good bloke and a hard worker though. Part of the experience balance I assume.Could easily be a straight swap for owies

plenty of bench time. Small fwd stocks are dire.Lets hope he gets thru the game O/K he is well underdone.
Its more than likely a bust. Figjam attitude and no work rate. Being highly skilled only gets you so far.I think we need to rally around this kid a bit. He's only 21 and there's been a fair bit of negativity the last few weeks.
It's pretty clear he's very low on form/fitness and ought to be playing in the WAFL for now. I hope he drops back this weekend to put together some good games for his own confidence.
But I still believe he's a big part of our future when he finds his fitness, feet and mojo again.
Keep going Elijah.
He was touted as at top 3 pick the year before he was drafted. Its more than likely a bust. Figjam attitude and no work rate. Being highly skilled only gets you so far.
The foot issue he missed all of 2024 with.He was touted as at top 3 pick the year before he was drafted.
Why did he slide so far in his draft year? Indifferent form if I remember correctly?
Guy needs to be dropped to the 2s to figure out his want and work rate
This is bullshit, Elijah is a very hard trainer. Its more than likely a bust. Figjam attitude and no work rate. Being highly skilled only gets you so far.
Yeah, piss off bloke. Its more than likely a bust. Figjam attitude and no work rate. Being highly skilled only gets you so far.
