Definitely not a crisis haha! Teams would love to have the depth in that area we do.

Do we have an issue on how to play them all…..yes definitely.

Miller/Young have been really good and if Balta settles back there then you need to find spots for Gray/Gibcus, I feel Blight may end up traded back to the West this year for a 3rd round pick for Kellaway and Trainor will end up taking Broads spot once he’s done.

KPD is an area we don’t need to worry about at all for the next few years.

A bit left field, but I’d look at a genuine KPD, capable of playing on the power forwards and let Miller play as the intercepter.
His footskills are second to none in our team and he is quick and athletic for a 197cm/100kg , and reads the play well.
I’ve always thought he’s better suited to this role as he does loose his man a bit in one on ones.

• Brisbane won the flag last year with Darcy Gardiner and Ryan Lester playing key defensive posts
• Pies did it with Billy Frampton and Nathan Murphy.
• Geelong did it with Jack Henry and Jake Kolodjashnij
• Dees did it with Petty
• Even we did it with Balta flogging Hawkins

Once your team defence is dialled in all your defenders look a shit tonne better.

Swans are absolutely flying right now with Will Edwards and Lewis Melican as their two KPDs.......

No, he isn't. He's been our best defender for 2 years now. How can you judge someone badly when we have so many bad players or old players around him? Even Balta this year did nothing back there to help him, nor did a decent ruck top go back there. Gray is improving, but it's his first year down back; I have faith he will be okay. Brown and Short have been meowing, and you're left with Broad with his worst year ever and a tired Vlaustin who showed something against a very poor team. Take out Grlj who is more of a mid but has been decent down back, and he has hardly any support.
