He won much more of the ball in space than usual and so was able to run and find a target by hand or kick to an isolated teammate, but even still his kicking makes you pretty nervous. And every time he teamed up with Langdon one of them inevitably ****ed it up. Reckon we got scored against from their turnovers more than anyone else, even though Kolstrup/Cough Syrup/thyssenkrupp/Coles(Prices Are)Up had the same number of turnovers as both combined

CJ wasn't great but I don't see the need to make a million changes off a 17pt loss to the best team in the league at their home ground. There isn't exactly anyone in the 2s to bring in to play his role aside from Taylor who looked very raw.

Give me AMW to play on Rosas types any day.

My changes too, although if Gawn and Heath play again, I’d rest one forward a bit, play Fritsch closer to goal and just bring in the two smalls for Miho and Laurie.

Probably our best kick too, and King would be itching to get him into a team that is built on rebounding from defence given Salem is out, Lindsay out, AMW not hitting his straps, Rivers a chance to come back but not a lock (and form iffy anyway).

Last season he averaged 23 touches , 420 metres gained, came 4th in Best and Fairest (came close to finishing 2nd).

Hes the best kick we have and locks down his opponent too. He will be incredible with this new game style.

a good little player but let's not use touches as a metric. He gets a lot of junk cheap stats as well as kickins.

I think Heath is primed for the #1 ruck role, and King will send Gawn to the knackery at Casey.

But honestly, Heath will keep getting games. Our list isn’t that deep. Might change in a month when a half dozen players are available after rehabbing injuries.

Complete guess - But barring some kind of incredible form, I see him going back to VFL sometime in about 2-3 weeks. Think this is maybe just a bit of a Gawn rest period. They may do that again, and it may change pending Gawn's overall soreness (his back is a watch), but gut feel is this is a bit of a management period.
