Yeah ok, Tom Hawkins and Gary Ablett for picks the 40’s, Sam Darcy for picks starting at 30 something and above, Nick Daicos- picks 22 an above all
seems a fair price. 🙄 no discount there.
only Brisbane got a discount to be able to get Levi Ashcroft; just as only Collingwood got a discount for Nick Daicos and Geelong for Hawkins and Ablett.

Now clubs will have access but the price is much much fairer.

Silver spoons, silver cups- what’s mind boggling is your club has been around for 30 years and never done shit.
Case in point right here.

All these handouts (that Freo have never gotten) and you think Brisbane just earned their premierships like everyone else.

You're completely blind to the fact you've been spoon-fed premierships just because the AFL wants a presence in QLD.

Embarrassing

Ha ha we are the embarrassing ones are we, guess we will have to cry into one of our numerous premiership cups. What’s embarrassing is being around 30 years, making one grand final and completely f&$king that up. Jealousy is a curse I’m afraid.
You all just cut up because you can’t be us.

Yeah so the original post was about Brisbane having advantages that no one else had…………. 😒

Probably in the minority, but I don't mind the idea of bringing back the transfer fee.

As a Claremont supporter, it would make the club a tidy sum. It would hurt the Northern clubs for a while, at least until they can draft exclusively from the Academy's, but overall it's a good suggestion to get money flowing back to the junior clubs that do the heavy lifting. Some of the Coates teams would be very happy indeed.

Still waiting for you to provide evidence for your statement, as per my initial question to you.

Go look up the AFL distributions and then the clubs profit or loss for the same period.

That's all the proof needed.

It's there. Plain and simple.

And no, I'm not doing your research for you.

So because clubs have rorted the system at the expense of other clubs it's all good and the rules should stay the same?

Is that your argument?

Let's just say all those flags have asterisks next to them.

Multiple******

Everyone knows it.

If the Hawks or Freo are playing any Northern club in a GF I know who I will be supporting.

And I seriously don't like Hawthorn.

Enjoy the test tube premierships......

:thumbsupemoji: Keep up the good fight. At some point you may be able to wish this into existence.

The thing is the AFL ensures all clubs have enough cash to function

So the one paying those fees would be the AFL

I dont disagree maybe a bonus to any non-AFL club depending on what pick their kid gets drafted could be a nice idea worth exploring, but yeah its not going to affect the AFL clubs.

You are being either obtuse, childish or a dumb campaigner.

You are completely unable to see outside of your own little universe.

The northern clubs are clearly drunk on the mother's milk they already get from the AFL.
Well, Sydney clearly are anyway.

sydney have been a very entitled club for a long time.

Their head draft recruiter, Kineer Beatson once claimed that if one of their academy players gets a bid on in the top 10 of the draft and sydney choose not to match the bid, that the swans should receive a compensation pick directly after where the bid takes place.

I suppose getting Heeney, Mills, and Blakey for a handful of junk picks wasn't enough for him?

Blakey individually is a great example of the overreach of the acadmey programs.

His dad played over 350 games. Blakey is not someone the AFL would have lost to the NRL, so why is he considered eligible for the academy in the first place?

same thing is now happening with Hodge.

Forgotten the original argument have we???? Lions picked up the Ashcroft and Fletcher because they have advantages given to no other clubs is what was said. 🤪
