It reminds me of Arrested Development, which I also loved.

It sure did help me cheer up after the footy.

Yep. I really liked it. Loved the nostalgia hit. His early life. The doco didn't shy away from his mistakes but also wasn't shitting all over him. The random interview with Trump made me lose it. Would've liked some more stories from his time in WWF and WCW. The Bret Hart comments were also hilarious. Hogan's backstage politics would've been an absolute nightmare and they didn't shy away from this either. The way he basically went his whole career without any major surgeries then had to have over 20 after he retired is insane.

That sounds like an interesting show.

The sign at the beginning of episode 3 had me in tears first time watching.

Widows Bay (Apple)

This is a comedy/mystery starring Matthew Rhys who plays the Mayor of a small island former whaling town where mysterious deadly things are alleged to have occurred in the past.

2 episodes have dropped and so far it’s been good. Rhys is excellent and the writing and performances are funny and enjoyable.

This is as good as Star Wars has been in a long long time.

I'm nearly finished Rooster. Show got a bit better as it went on. The police officer is by far the funniest character. Season finale drops on the 11th. Solid 6.5/7 out of 10 show. Not as good as Shrinking or Ted Lasso though.

I've started watching Dan Levy's new show, Big Mistakes. It's a not-bad cringe comedy. I dunno if I'll stick with it.

Started Deadloch season two, great start, and Eddie is still as obnoxious as ever but seems less grating, if that makes sense. Her insults are glorious.

Have 2 or 3 episodes left. I've liked it more than I thought i would but this review doesn't bode well for the ending. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I feel like most shows have disappointing endings at least in some respect. I also recognise it's probably the hardest thing to do, especially if the show isn't complete garbage.

I cannot remember the first season at all except it had Glen from walking dead in it.

Season one was really good, i feel like the premise and plot made alot more sense.

I thought season two only really hung together on the strength of the performances (which given its got Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Cailee Spaney, Charles Melton, William Fichtner and a host of other excellent actors is not suprising) but it was pretty over the top and lacked that sort of relatability of the first season IMO. I didnt hate the ending but it got very very weird. We also end up with one character just having zero resolution or update, which sort of plays to the theme and point but i found a bit annoying.

Into the final season of The Americans. It's been a very satisfying watch but I'm sort of dreading what's to come as it can't be good for at least a couple of the characters.

I'll be a little sad when it's gone though, it's been a great binge.
