Ticket sales must be abysmal. Who would have thought a lunchtime clash between Melbourne and West Coast at Marvel on Mothers Day wouldn’t fetch a crowd?

We often seem to get Mother’s Day lunch clash?

My mum is a) interstate b) certainly too elderly and fragile to deal with a traditional family celebration c) a bit confused in old age so the point of making her feel appreciated on a certain day would likely not be registered.

So I’ll go and try and represent those that can’t because it can be a great day for mothers and families and this is as always a shithouse fixture. Please feel free to take your Mum for a treat and I’ll try and cheer louder.

Reckon Latrelle plays higher up the ground a lot, Jeffo leads us for tackles inside 50.

This week especially on the faster deck it would have made sense to drop 1 ruck or replace Mihocek with a small IMO. Matthews is in form now, and shaped as the perfect Laurie replacement to give us something other than running into umpires. If they play all of Heath, Gawn, Jefferson, JVR and Kentfield it's a poor move.

Yeah if Gawn is spending chunks forward, plus JVR, Jeffo, possibly Kentfield and Fritsch (granted playing higher this year) thats conceding a lot at ground level. Gawn forward also tends to prompt us to play Goodyball style.
I'll be excited for Kentfield if he's in, and it shouldn't hurt us too much this week, but feel like another small (i.e. Matthews) would suit the team more

Surely he debuts against what is essentially a WAFL level team. Unlike JVR and jefferson he is tough and has mongrel, so theres no excuse for him not to play.

Main training at Casey today, so if he's going to play we'll see something between now and 5pm. I hope he does, I really like him, but his form has been good rather than amazing and IMO we don't need another tall this week (unless another one comes out), so wouldn't be a shock if he doesn't.

Dont despise him, just think he should be in the VFL and that Kentfield will be giving us a lot more than JVR's 1 good game a month. Would be more fun to watch too.

For some. The sample size of myself watching AMW playing seniors v Jiath has led me to the conclusion I'd rather AMW.
