Injury Injury Report - 18 Injuries

I'm glad they let McAuliffe run out the game on the wing knowing he has two sore Achilles. Probably the position that requires the most running.
He played 18% gametime in the 4th.

Especially when we were 5 goals down in the final quarter. Brilliant player management. Just keep flogging the guy into 2027.

This simply isn't a big enough story in the AFL world and not one person in the media is talking about it.

Obviously Voss is big news but why isn't this a front page story and why have no one on the board at richmond given a path forward and how we are approaching the AFL on what we can do?

This is a workplace safety issue now. I said it before, the Eagles win was good to get the monkey off, but it has papered over this basket case of a club. There should be a press conference tomorrow. O'Rourke and Dunne are f***** gutless.

Lol how on earth can a so called expert be SO bad at getting players back from injury?

Without doubt we have had a horrid run of luck with injury but farrk me the rehab once they're injured is farkin pathetic.

Nank was meant to be 6-8 initially, this week will be 8 and yet hes still 4-5 weeks away. Its going to be a 13 weeker AT BEST. Thats legitimately a hammy torn off the bone type timeframe.

Sack this fraud already.

Look down the list and I see 2 hamstring injuries which have stretched out for months

2 Achilles injuries which could possibly end seasons

Josh gibcus season over

Josh smillie realistically season over

3 foot injuries, 1 which has lasted over 6 months since last season and another that may possibly end Mansells season.

The other injuries mostly can be attributed to contact or in game situations,

Most of the above stem from training, how much more ****en info does this ass hat Dunne need?

This is an embarrassment, surely this Kent and his whole team should be packing their bags a month ago, the rot has continued for far too long

Looks like Nank has had a setback. Was at 3 weeks last week, out to a month now...

Serpell must be waiting to be sacked like Voss, it's the only explanation as to why he hasn't resigned. Any half-witted board would already have someone else lined up but how can you trust anyone at the joint anymore.
You might remember that we had the same problem when Luke Meehan had the role before Serpell. Maybe the injury toll is due to the new surface at punt road. When was that upgraded?

Since when is soreness TBC? I'm calling BS on that.

Kmac has done something and we won't see him for quite awhile. Another Serpell victim.

The club administration must be honest.
A statement is needed.
Have they tampered with or modified the playing surface in any way?
Has it been affected by the redevelopment?

has any afl player injured both achilles at the one time

Based on available AFL injury records, there are no documented instances of an AFL player rupturing bothAchilles tendons at the exact same moment during a game.
However, several players have managed severe Achilles issues on both legs at different times or during the same season, and one instance of a former player doing both at different times is noted: [1]
  • Hamish McIntosh (North Melbourne/Geelong): Prior to the 2011 season, McIntosh required surgery on both Achilles tendons.
  • Matt Suckling (Western Bulldogs): The defender missed time in 2018 with "both Achilles' nagging him over the past two years".
  • Garrick Ibbotson & Clancee Pearce (Fremantle): Both players were noted in 2013 as working their way back from Achilles injuries.
  • Paddy Ryder (Port Adelaide): Dealt with injury issues regarding both Achilles and his hip flexor.
  • Kane McAuliffe (Richmond): In May 2026, he was managed due to soreness in "both Achilles".
