Will be a big challenge for Elsternwick. Players will need to pack their gumboots based on the forecast this week and the state of the ground in previous years. Looking forward to your review.

Swinburne should easily take care of Elsternwick.

I personally haven't seen Masala and coke as yet, but the results indicate they may have finally got it together as a club.

Agree with all although I’d have MHSOB stay in D6 and Therry come down. MHSOB beat TP comfortably.

Yeah, that and Swinburne in D5 were the two that I ummed and ahhed about

Looks well thought out - I wonder if the VAFA have the appetite for so many changes. Fixturing would be tricky but you would love every division to be as even as possible

They've sent out a memo that it'll be a two week process.

Love the thought that has gone into this.

The old saying 'if it only was this easy' - VAFA need to look long and hard at who these clubs have actually played to achieve the %'s they have.

3 Xavs teams in the one grade? HQ tried to avoid this (two teams) at all costs in seasons gone by now 3. I'd doubt it would happen purely based on ground availability.

While Masala is an obvious choice from Div 5, I'm not sure I'd send them up. League probably keen for Masala/Eley/Chadstone/Swinburne to play against each other all year.

They've beaten 2nd, 3rd and 5th pretty comfortably. Have to go up.

I'm aware the round-table between clubs and VAFA following regrading last year had a fairly consistent theme (other than the VAFA and Old Xav's themselves) that having 5 teams in the top couple of divisions playing each other is tough biccies. Plenty of talent that could be spread around other clubs in Seniors & Reserves (see Chadstone, Eley Park, Masala et al) to build depth across the entire competition.

You could make a genuine case that they should have 4 teams in Premier Thirds on results so far.

I've had a crack at regrading too and blown the whole comp up. Fuggit.

I have stumbled across this as a Oakleigh Krushers man and done some research. Lucky you don't work at HQ. This would be a shxtshow. 4 teams from the same club in premier, would be a round robin at Stradbroke park every Saturday. Fields in div 1 and AJAX (Sundays) dropped after making the premier GF last year. My Krushers due to drop though so you got one thing correct!

All a bit of fun and to be fair I had missed that Ajax vs. OT is tonight. Could change the ladder in Premier a lot.

What's the good word out in Oakleigh? Will numbers spike by going down? Played out there a couple of years ago and the Thirds were strong, especially with a few of the older heads playing after the Masters/35+ team folded.

Seems Oakleigh have withdrawn their Thirds side.

5th division will be a 6 team comp and div 7 is to be 9 team comp.

Masala, Swinny, Chaddy and EP all remain in 5.

Grading info starting to drop, anyone got any other updates those that have been promoted or relegated based on early season form?
I've had some stuff passed on for D6-7 but nothing more.

Monash, MHSOB (2), TP down to D7
Canterbury, Preston up to D6
Elsternwick, Hawthorn, Richmond down to D6

Vafa wanted to keep the previous divisional sides in same comps for fixturing purposes. Short sighted imo
Masala are far too good for this grade. They'd be competitive in D3 this year atm

only beat the pigs by a couple of points. they have had a lot of hard years, what a achievement it would be if them or eley park, or even chaddy can enjoy some success... lots of football to played.

No way, no depth at all.

They'd be 15 goals off Wattle Park and Hawthorn in D3, closer to Albert Park who seem a basket case this year. Centrals and La Trobe they might give a run for money for a half.

Swinburne, Chaddy and Eley Park would be 20 goals off.
