Right, what are peoples thoughts on the following players as trade targets or MSD.

1. Charlie Lazarro. (MSD)
7 tackles
5 I50s
Fast and agile winger.

2. Moyle (Trade)
36 hitouts
15 touches
3.5 clearances

3. Sam Grant (MSD)
3 Clearances
37 hitouts
203cm

4. El Nour (MSD)
Mac Andrew type.
8 marks
18 touches

5. Caleb Graham (Trade)
Playing in the 2s and might be cheaper than Buddarick

Interested in whether we have kept tabs on Hibbins-Hargreaves since he went over to Subiaco since he was training with Footscray in the preseason. Apparently been going very well over there.
I don't see him getting picked up by anyone at any point this year as a possibility at this stage. Hopefully he keeps working hard and demands a team draft him next year.

Bailey J Williams from the Eagles playing the game of his life right now against the Giants. 26 year old 201 cm athletic ruck / fwd from Victoria, restricted free agent at the end of the year. Has been disappointing during his Eagles tenure but would be a much better backup ruck and depth tall fwd option than we have now and wouldn't have to trade anything.

Obviously, this season is shot. I am unsure of contract situation but at the of end season you would considering all of the players below futures:

Treloar retired
Libba retired
Garcia
McNeill
VDM
Davidson
Gardiner
Coffield
Lewis
Gallagher
Smith
Cleary

The list is not in good shape, you can get rid of all of the above except for the retirees, and none would be missed.

Plus, we do not know if Hynes, Dolan, Walker, Kennedy will make it.

The list is not in good shape. Kane Cornes you are fool best list not even close.

El Nour is about 10cm shorter then Mac Andrew outside of them both being Sudanese they have nothing in common

If Lazarro was good he would still be on a list.
Moyle wont be traded because he's effectively replaced Witts.
Caleb Graham is a UFA so wont cost anything.

I am so sick and tired of star players being pushed out or wanting to leave.

Dunks
Baz
Marra (although its totally on him)
And now appears to be English.

Thats potentially 4 key players in 4 years.

From what i am hearing, there is a massive possibility English is at another club next year. He appears to have had a falling out with Bevo and possibly Bont.

What smiley boy was reporting seems legit from what i am hearing.

Never seems to be any redemption stories at our club. You just seem to be on the outer and then you're gone

I really hope things change in the next few months. We are not in the position to lose someone like Tim

Eagles have spent 7 years developing him after throwing him to the wolves as a skinny teenager early. Won't come cheap if he keeps playing well

The thing I find oddest about the English story is that he missed 1 match across all of 2023-25, and 4 so far this season - 1 of which whilst under concussion protocols and 3 with a knee.

I'm not saying its not true, I have zero idea, but given his MCL was originally stated by the club to result in missing "a chunk of football", he's missed at most 1 or 2 games that he perhaps could have played, at a stretch? Signing his papers for not getting up for games feels extremely reactionary, if true.

yeah if there is a falling out, surely its something more then English being cautious about his injury. The whole thing sound so childish from Bevo and everyone thats on Bevo's side in this situation.

Once you’re out of Bevo’s circle of trust you’re banished for good. The guy holds a grudge better than anyone.

Any chance there's a mean and nasty, tackling machine of an inside mid available for the mid season draft? We were soft as butter last night.
Josh Tovey. 193cm 20 year old inside midfielder.

He’s a huge lad. Kicked 13 goals in 7 games so they’ve been playing him forward a bit but he’s definitely a midfielder.

Kicking is a little bit off the pace but has a lot of outstanding attributes and won the EFL premier division league B&F at 19 last season.

I think it says a lot when our best recruit over the last 2 seasons is a mid season pick in Sellwood and before that pick 45 in Joel. It is not like we traded our picks for high profile trades.

You cannot be a challenging team with that profile.

Not everyone is an instant success and even then Freijah is out of form and finding out whats its like with more attention.

Excluding Libba and Adz from that list no club is building a premiership tilt based on those players

He's going to make it, as he learns to counter tags.

If injuries and lack of depth are the issue that many claim they are for us, then we have to do whatever we need to do to create two MSD positions this year. With those two positions we need to draft two players who will help the AFL team immediately, not the VFL team or the AFL team at some point in future years.

We need a win now solution to stop the team and club from going backwards.

Only way we get a second position opened up is if Treloar retires, as I understand it, he doesn't want to.

Sanders has caught up and gone past Joel now

Sanders looks like he will rack up 30 touches with ease for the next 10 years.

The challenge for him to elevate his game to a top 20 midfielder will be his impact forward of the footy. His kicking is generally pretty good going inside 50 but overall I now have zero issue with him as a long term piece.
