- He’s done nothing in the 11 years since to improve his coaching skills

You have more chance of turning into a respected moderator than Hird has of becoming a premiership coach.

Non bay response?

I'm actually fine either way. I'm not a hirdite by any means but I also don't have the vitriol hate for him that some do. I actually think he has a very smart football mind and saga aside could coach - but can he coach the modern game? I don't know. I'd be happy with someone like Horse (don't want Kern or Simpson who have both ruled themselves out anyway). Possibly Enright if he is as good as they say he will be. But Hird brings the passion that clearly no one else can.

I'm also not actually sure Essendon can more forward unless they give him another shot. Its a massive risk and if we **** up the development of our youf its a huge backfire but at least then people can STFU about it.

Will it happen? Probably hard to see them going another way now. But as I said I wouldn't be unhappy if they did subject to who they appointed.
