There’s talk around of reports for both Heathcote Captain Jacques and Norths ‘co coach’ Bennett also. Is this correct? Why doesn’t this make the local rag.

Definitely not homophobic, Jacquesy reported for striking and took the week, Bennett not reported, not sure where that one came from.
Advertiser probably not reporting on it because nothing there.

Heard coaching staff on North bench kicked a bin full of rubbish that went everywhere when unhappy with something during the game. Also heard you wouldn’t have wanted anyone to hear what Hargreaves said as it was absolutely disgusting. Umpire allegedly heard it firsthand and is the reason it was reported. Both incidents not a great look in the modern game.

Not sure it was "Absolutely disgusting". Sure, I wouldn't want my kid or mum to hear it. But I would label it a bit humorous with a dash of thought provocation.

Huntly have broken the drought and will that now get them on a roll for the rest of the season? Norf loose one you would think they wouldn’t and has the week of controversy got to them with all what’s going on. Otherwise the other games went how you would of thought.

I reckon they will get a few big wins in the second half of the year, could be next week against North! Their percentage is very good for a team who has won one game. With how close the competition is they could potentially still play finals (big call I know) is anyone brave enough to predict the final 5 now where Nearly at the halfway mark??

What a great atmosphere and rivalry between the two clubs, absolutely cracking game of footy! Great to sit in between both supporters enjoying a couple of beers and watching local footy deliver at its best! Heathcote lost two early which might have been the difference in the end as one was on fire in early (one of the Williams)

I think the top sides would only beat Broadford and Kangaroo Flat. There’s still a massive gap but the average sides in the HDFNL have gotten better
