He dumped his head into the turf. Whether he meant it, is a good bloke, or had a vegetable sandwich for lunch, I don't care. It was careless and dangerous.

Agreed, has to be weeks. If the shoe was on the other foot and it was a Collingwood player having surgery for a fractured neck you can guarantee the narrative would be different, probably sent straight to the tribunal and 5 or 6 weeks. He dumped his head into the turf. Mihocek is running head down towards what do you actually want him to do mate let go of him? I swear people have never played footy beforeIt would just be not to dump him in the tackle mate
I don't think he was running at him head down, he slipped/stumbled and was on his knee and pushing up off the ground. Frampton has a duty of care to execute the tackle correctly so as not to turn Mihocek with all his weight on his back/neck and driving him crown-first into the ground.Mihocek is running head down towards what do you actually want him to do mate let go of him? I'm not laying blame at Mihocek im saying however it happens doesn't matter his head is down and he's driving forward opposite direction to Frampton. Other than lay a piss weak tackle that lets him break through hes done nothing other than try and stop himI don't think he was running at him head down, he slipped/stumbled and was on his knee and pushing up off the ground. Frampton has a duty of care to execute the tackle correctly so as not to turn Mihocek with all his weight on his back/neck and driving him crown-first into the ground.
I don't think Frampton intended to injure or anything but it was a clumsy tackle resulting in serious injury, under the current rules he has to be suspended.
Clumsy tackle. 3 weeks is right. As much as I loathe the Filth I think Frampton is unlucky, it seems a freak accident.
Mate - when I played footy you were encouraged to do things like that.Mihocek is running head down towards what do you actually want him to do mate let go of him? I swear people have never played footy before
I'd seriously consider the vegetable sandwich defense, though. He dumped his head into the turf. Whether he meant it, is a good bloke, or had a vegetable sandwich for lunch, I don't care. It was careless and dangerous.
Nah mate that wasn't a thug act from back in the day that was a bloke doing his best to stop a fairly decent sized bloke breaking through his tackle. Considering the immediate look of concern on framptons face there's no way there was any malice at allMate - when I played footy you were encouraged to do things like that.
Sling tackles were celebrated.
That’s why I know you actually have enough time to make a choice on how you tackle someone, even mid tackle.
100%. But it's a 'duty of care' report from the AFL not an intentional act one.I don't think Framptom was driving his head into the ground, he just had Mihocek in a really bad position.

I'm not saying he shouldn't get suspended, just unlucky the way it unfolded. It's happened before and it will happen again. Sometimes things are unavoidable in a contact sport.100%. But it's a 'duty of care' report from the AFL not an intentional act one.
Yeah, I feel like you tend to learn over the years of playing footy how someone is going to make contact with the ground when you tackle them. I don’t think Frampton would have wanted to fracture his neck in the slightest but when he made the tackle he would have instinctively known given Checkers body position that leaning back in the tackle like that was going to cause his head to make contact with the ground.I don't think he was running at him head down, he slipped/stumbled and was on his knee and pushing up off the ground. Yeh don’t think malice mate - jus think instinct to bury a playerNah mate that wasn't a thug act from back in the day that was a bloke doing his best to stop a fairly decent sized bloke breaking through his tackle. He didn't deliberately try and hit his head. It's a shit accident and horrible for Mihocek but this piss weak nature of everyone gagging for suspensions everytime there's an accident can piss offgenuinely surprised he got off given hes ended checkers season and maybe career. didnt mean to hurt him but certainly didnt try and avoid the head
