Yeh don’t think malice mate - jus think instinct to bury a player
The AFL's own prosecution used 'Frampton should have let him go' as a defence

That shows how stupid the suspension was to begin

He didn't deliberately try and hit his head. It's a shit accident and horrible for Mihocek but this piss weak nature of everyone gagging for suspensions everytime there's an accident can piss off
It's not about gagging for suspensions, it's about wanting to see the rules applied consistently.

What rule? He got a free kick for holding the ball and then got suspended only because Mihocek was hurt after the fact. There was like multiple tackles like that in the game but the blokes head didn't get stuck awkwardly

This was basically a freak incident so I’m not sure what consistency you’re talking about.

The AFL's only line of prosecution in the case was be should have foreseen damage and released the tackle. So basically stop playing the game
If that doesn't prove it was a flawed logic nothing does

We'll have to agree to disagree here. I don't care enough to keep it going 👍

If it was a Cwood player who was injured then the offending MFC player would be looking at a lengthy ban.
Nuffy take.

You’d be spewing if we got a player rubbed out for what Frampton did.

Seemed like a prosecution that didn't really believe in their case.

I thought we were addressing consistency? Never mind.
I would only be "spewing" if the same rules and judgement were applied differently. As they were in the Frampton case.
Succumbing to the zeitgeist and failing to recognise the preferential treatment handed out to Cwoods only perpetuates it.

Consistent to what? What are you comparing it to

What inconsistency are you actually talking about? What similar incident has resulted in a Melbourne player being suspended?

I don’t necessarily think he needed to miss games

But, I do feel like it could have been avoided if he rolled in the tackle - don’t think that’s a stretch as that actually helps protect yourself too

Agree letting go isn’t an option

You do realise his feet left the ground when Mihocek moved into him? How in the hell is he supposed to roll. People are acting like Mihocek was bent over weight about 15 kegs just asking to get manipulated around

2. Clutch Tackles, at Clutch Moments. Harvey Langford Take a bow! I love this kid, I love the way he plays. Hes going to be Box Office! Proper Gander knows he is my Guy! That Tackle on Repeat.
3. Lever Down Back was Enourmous. My general!
4.Just wanted to Give much Deserved flowers to Ed langdon on the last play of the day.
5. Beating the Filth, Australia wins when ever collingwood lose. Mind you My BP, heart Rate was off the charts towards the end there.
