Indeed it does. That's why I said "for a given round" (or, for a given magic number).
The way I see it there are three variables for pricing a singular player. Magic number (which of course is a function of other variables, but which can be estimated), initial player price and his three round average.
Do you have an estimation of this?
I can use TooSerious but I want to run some simulations (a lot) and it can't really be done via TS. Otherwise I will try and have to run a regression to find an approximation of the formula myself.
I know the system for calculating salaries and so on, but do you know of an expression that, for a given round, can approximate a player's price (given their previous price and 3 round average)?
Think it'll be a decaying exponential of some type.
Hey mate, just playing around with player salary predictions on TS and confused with your three-round averages. For example, Pendlebury is given a predicted score each week of 111 yet his three-round average each week is 107. Can you explain?
