I know we're not finished, but luck is going against us with injuries and the draw. Bottom half of the 8 for us, but who knows, we can do anything in Sept with the momentum behind us
It's their attitude this year. They truly believe they will win it and not COULD win it, that's the difference compared to previous seasons i think.
I was only trying to stir the pot MM. I'm not too worried to be honest, although i still can't see us contenting this year. Youthful sides with pace may have overtaken us i'm afraid and with Varcoe, WOJO and Menzel underdone and unlikely to have much influence this year, i think it may be time to look a bit to the future and start playing a few more kids. I still hold a glimmer of hope but time will tell. Carlton v Hawks GF for mine and as i said to a few mates straight after our flag last year, i have a feeling it will be the blues year.
I'm expecting the Hawks to start clicking into gear soon MM. I honestly can't see you losing too many more games this year. I saw something in the last quarter against St.kilda where i thought it was starting to click. Time will tell though.

Yes the Tommahawk was massive. Still I love Whitecross, Lewis, Buddy, Jesus, you'd go to the footy just to watch Buddy. The weather robbed him. Even Bateman played a ripper, it's always to the death in our games.
Another epic game. This rivalry will turn me into a nervous wreck! Mitchell had me crapping my pants, we couldn't stop him. I'm rapt with the Tommahawk, but Christ can someone teach him how to kick FFS!
Honestly thought we were up against it before the game. This Geelong side is something else.
You will cop a hiding I am sure...but we both know these are both good sides worth following. I am elated right now...I just can't believe it. Before the season started I didn't think we could do it again but this group just never know when they are beaten...maybe they CAN do the double.

Easy there. Condolences. Wasted opportunities lost the Hawks the game, but it was still an awesome game that never had a confirmed winner till the absolute last second.

Are you going to the game? I was expecting Shiels to be named as he is an important player for you guys without Hodge. I think the match will be determined in our forward half, whoever wins the duels in this part of the ground will win. If you can keep Hawkins and Pods in check you might just sneak home. I'm looking forward to another corker and may the best side win.
We have to limit your effectiveness out of the backline and hope Enright and Lonergan due their respective jobs on Rioli and Franklin. The former is a special talent.
Hey MM...expecting an absolute cracker on Monday, though the odds are in your favour this time. that being so, I think that's meaningless when it comes to clashes between these clubs...so unlike my friend below I don't expect anything but the usual competitive but pure example of our great game. Good luck next week MM(not really) It should be a cracker of a contest, with the Hawks up and about early. I think the match will be won in the respective backlines, which is strange i know considering the majority of matches are won in the midfield. Both sides have a quality midfields as we know, so it will probably come down to which backline performs better under pressure. Good luck for the season.
