Draper, Voss - Amiss, Switta.
Aish, Chapman, Walker, Ryan, Clark, Pearce & Banfield/JOM as the 7 backs. Simpson stays as sub.
I was adamant Young was not a mid but im in the don’t move camp now.
Richmond forward line isn’t great, it isn’t tall either unless they play two rucks...
I don't think Lukosius is a legit option for us, Sam Taylor would be great but I think WC will be his best option given they will probably be able to offer $1.5m extra say over a 5 year deal.
McDonald would obviously be good and I'd take him for 2 mid-late x 1sts with a 2nd back to us but I...
We have limited key back depth, very good depth in the other back spots. Inside midfield we have very good depth, the outside mid not so much, Key forward depth is ok, assuming Tabs is not best 22 he isn't the worst guy to have come in, the other forward spots I think our depth is horrible.
3...
He was a super coach, he probably still is but has not a lot to work with. The Hawks teams he got into the top 4 in 2016 and 2018 (yes they flopped in finals) weren’t great so I think that shows his credentials just as much as the flags.
Every coach needs great players, but a lot of coaches...
Sam Powell-Pepper is back from suspension, he has played us 8 times, only 1 time did he not kick a goal and that day he kicked 4 behinds. He seems to bob up every time against us, I give us a shot and reckon IF Darcy returns that will allow Jye to hopefully do some damage with Jackson taking the...
Sorry I didn't know a new thread would cause a ruckus, most of it tongue in cheek - it is just a game after all. But maybe I do need to harden up and move on. Or maybe everyone else took this the right way it was intended.
I gave up golf a long time ago although did play one game back in 2018...
Darcy in for Tabs
Erasmus for Freddy. Expect to see Fyfe/Jaeger forward a bit more this week.
Jaeger into the 22, Johnno sub and would want to produce as I feel like he has been off most of the season (good vs North). Simpson in if Switta does not make it, not flush with options.
I am still hurting and obviously Saturday is up there along with the Newnes debacle as the filthiest I have been after a game, but I have disliked Carlton for a fair few years now, I didn't mind them in the Pagan/Ratten days, they were plucky, fun to watch with Fev occasionally firing but enough...
I rate him, I am not sure where his best position is but I think that is a strength of his, he seems to be a decent player no matter the role or position he plays. I'd give up our worst 1st rounder for him, maybe get a late 3rd rounder back (Richmond has 3).
The Schultz comparison is not quite...
It is funny looking at it, I can't remember too many Lyon sides that had comebacks because generally that era was all about blowouts by half time then the foot came off the accelerator. How many times did we have a 6-8 goal lead and win by 2-3.
Since JL has taken over in 2020 I can count 9 notable comebacks, apologies if I have missed any.
9. Rd 20, 2021 vs Richmond at Optus Stadium, this game was a slog but have included it, 9pts down in the 4th qtr Freo led by Brayshaw's 39 touches, Tabs 3 goals, a rising star nomination from...
There are plenty of fixture quirks with all teams. I think we were slated to play them in 2020 before COVID hit so we played them in QLD then last year we played them in Adelaide the week before Gather Round which was I believe a club request to give us an away game in Adelaide.
No changes necessary but maybe switch the sub, I guess any of Johnson, Fyfe, Emmett, Banfield & Jaeger could be a candidate for various reasons and Erasmus or Brodie could make a claim to do that job.
I have seen a few potting Walker, yes early he looked a bit shaky but his 3rd qtr I thought...
I don't know if he has dropped off, he was quite good opening round without hitting the scoreboard, kicked 2 in rd 1 but was unsighted especially early, last night he was not awful and he was committed fully which is his best point, he would die for his team. He was never a superstar, a late...
Last two times, Rd 1 vs Stk last year he missed 7 weeks after the game, the draw against Richmond in 2022 he missed 3 games then played 1 but was injured and then missed the finals.
It's a very real possibility, the 6 day break is one thing but then next week we are playing Friday so that's...
Anyone think Fyfe might sit out, Marvel surface has not been good to him over the years, 6 day break with another 6 day break ahead next week. I am not saying he needs a rest, purely the venue but the added factors mean I can see it happening.
Quirk of the draw, and I don't think it is an advantage or disadvantage but during rounds 6-20 (14 games for us plus a bye) we play 5 teams twice in that period. Usually most of the double ups you get a couple out of the way early. So for some teams we will not play them until we have played...
Best thing I have seen, each jumper I saw I thought "yep that is the best one", amazing stuff.
Richmond, Brisbane, Adelaide, Stk & North the absolute best.
