So what promise did O’Reilly show? Was it the many games playing WAFL reserves or was it showing up horribly unfit? You say they didn’t need to please Stephen O’Reilly but it’s pretty clear his son was given 18 months on an afl list because he was a board member.
If Peter Bell hadn't kicked a football for the club he wouldn't have even received an interview for the role. But really we should have been worried when we drafted a board members son in the mid season draft, someone that had shown very little in the WAFL and by all reports was horribly out of...
So Mundy missing another week suggests the first week was close contact and now he’s tested positive. Going to be tough coming straight back after two weeks of isolation as well.
AFL website actually includes "shots" and they record him having 6 in total for Fremantle. So he's 2.0.4 in 27 games, so not only does he not hit the scoreboard at all I can now take back my accurate claim.
He’s been playing midfield as far as I can tell, just not starting at the CBs which given he lacks contested footy, speed and strength is probably a good thing.
Two shots on goal in 27 games as a winger! Had a look, Mitch Robinson who plays a pretty defensive role as the teams winger had 14 shots last season in 22 games.
Nah. Langdon hit the scoreboard, he averaged 0.5 goals a game with us which is pretty good for a wing. Acres has kicked 2.0 in 27 games for Fremantle. At least he’s accurate I guess…
I think his point is we shouldn't be seeing in Crowden and Blakely ahead of Erasmus and NOD. We don't need to be making 6+ changes for the selections to have some impact. The fear is real that JLo plays it way too safe at selection, simply no way Banfield should have been playing in round 2 yet...
Problem with that is I wouldn't put the Saints midfield in the top 10 in the competition. Steele (gun), Ross, Crouch and Sinclair is not a midfield that should be pushing anyone around.
Anyway not a Peter Bell thread, but favourite sons very rarely work out at football clubs. Fans jump to their defence based on the fact they kicked a ball for the club.
Haha you think he said all of that against the clubs wishes? Fair enough if so but I tend to disagree that a bloke two weeks into the job publicly went away from what the club were thinking. Especially in a prepared statement.
Got those quotes? Or is it just based on the fact that he was the one to publicly read out the clubs media statement regarding the due diligence. You really think Bell went rogue and made those statements?
