James Hirds "Breath in a jar".
Inspired by the true attempt by one plucky entrepreneur to sell the breath of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie captured from air in the "Proximity" of those celebs. This goes one further. James Albert Hird will breath directly into the jar.
The buyer can also...
I was going to make a thread on this subject but Brenno beat me to it.
I do have a second club that I have always felt I support but just never quite as much as Essendon. It's Melbourne so * me!!
Every single time he went on one of those "pay for an MBA" excursions I just got angrier. I swear he just used Essendon to further his education.
I shouldn't say education. All of those courses he did are the kind that you just show up listen to a few lectures. Maybe do a quiz to make sure you...
I don't think we will get much more out of Hird. He's been apologetic about the whole thing. Just hasn't taken ownership and he never will. At least we can all say this. He will never be back invoved with the AFL at any significant level ever again. That's going to have to do for us.
Nah, well not exactly. A lot of us including me never wanted him as coach. Loved him as a player but I always felt he never really wanted to coach Essendon. He just felt like it was his destiny and he had to do it as so many people at the time were telling him to.
I had a bad feeling right...
Truth. I always believed Hird felt like he had to coach Essendon rather then wanting to. And that he did it for the money. From the start I said to my mates "I have a bad feeling about this". He just never seemed like a coach, ever. Just an ego maniac.
Ok Jim ok. I was once a passionate supporter of the Essendon Football club but what can I say now. This has been gut wrenching.
I have a lot of close friends my age who support Essendon. We used to go down to games all the time. We haven't since this started and aren't likey to in the near future.
As much as I want him gone I disagree. He was improving the team for sure and we would have only improved more if all this crap hadn't have happened.
In the end it's meaningless. He has showed his true colours (and how much influence his missus has on him) and now he could be the best coach in...
Someone stop this ******* madness please.
I hearby cancel my support for my life long team Essendon and instead barrack for my second team .... Melbourne.... s**t.
For the love of all things living please do not appeal Essendon.
Just deal with the show cause notices, suck major ASADA and AFL D and for crying out loud get rid of Hird now!!!!
Yes in a way they aren't kicking tyres. However it is just that, circumstantial. What is more worrying is that if there is a penalty the AFL get to hand it down. If the AFL tribunal can't handle a simple hip and shoulder then what confidence do we have here. Especially with the history the AFL...
These threads crack me up. No doubt I see this thing differently then people from other clubs. However I accept the charges of bringing the game into disrepute and agree that they should have and successfully did fight the BS about being drug cheats.
Essendon is guilty of poor governance. The...
This is by far the best post in this thread and about this mess. Perfectly put in every way.
Also personally I think that the penalties are fair under the circumstances. AFL's poor handling aside and their own errors which they will not pay a price for, Essendon are guilty of bringing the game...
Yeah this. Thing is in the current game you really need to be good on the ground and able to apply defensive pressure. Just not sure he can do enough at what he's good at to make up for it.
