I am not convinced by JakobRyan. I also want to see more from Ed Allean. As for Harry, it is far too early to judge. He needs at least 2 years in the system before we can make an informed assessment. From a bigger perspective, I just wished we had drafted a young key position & project player...
Solid is an interesting way to put developing, underwhelming or poor performance (pick which words best describe the players). No mention of Allan being subbed out. Of course, the author doesn’t attend the match so it’s naturally dreadful.
...marks and kicked three goals at Marvel Stadium.
The injury-hit Magpies had just five AFL-listed players in action.Tew Jiath (16 disposals), JakobRyan (13) and Harry DeMattia (13) were also solid.A week after making his AFL debut, Ed Allan had 12 touches.

Proud of their effort given how many listed players we had.
TJ - 16 disposals, 5 tackles, 4 marks
JakobRyan - 13 disposals, 4 marks
Harry DeMattia - 13 disposals, 2 marks
Ed Allan (one half) - 12 disposals, 3 tackles, 2 clearances
Nathan Kreuger - 11 disposals, 3 goals, 8 marks, 4 tackles, 8...
We keep waving our dicks around in the media saying we will spend the footy dept tax by beefing up the coaches but allow Dekka to continue unchallenged when there have been some very good alternatives available recently
...game, needs time.
Allan probably played his best VFL game prior to half time.
Kreuger the main positive, played his best game of the year and seems AFL ready.
Luke Quaynor struggled a lot but he's 17 so not sure how normal that is.
JakobRyan just doesn't seem to have any weapons or anything.
Yes, there are exceptions, but we haven't played them extensively. Even this year, when we suffered injuries we turned to the older players as backup first.
It's not an aversion to playing young players. It's against playing anyone who's not ready. Most teenagers aren't, either not being strong...
Ed's still a teenager, so it's not like we are afraid to play the kids.
Harvey was 19 when he debuted last year
JakobRyan was still 18 when he played his first and only game last year
...tackles.
Defender Tew Jiath had 20 touches, while CharlieDean was a pillar up back with eight marks and 21 disposals.
Small defender JakobRyan had five marks and four tackles to go along with his 14 disposals, while midfielder Harry DeMattia was busy with 17 disposals and a clearance...
Well you haven’t read my posts at all. I haven’t used injury as an excuse. Only correcting the wrong things you’ve said.
Didn’t this Sydney side put the Pies away by 6 goals on your home ground? They are quality and we aren’t going to get near them this season full strength or not.
...with depth players like Noble, Reef McInnes, Macrae, Joe Richards, Harvey Harrison, Sullivan, Ash Johnson, Charlie Dean, Jack Bytel, JakobRyan and Kreuger and still expect to win.
The "woe-is-me" cries of look at our injury list are simply an excuse.
It appears the Blues simply don't have...
He was the same draft as Ed Allan and JakobRyan
I personally would love him as a 198cm full back, I am pretty sure Cal Twomey said he would be willing to stay in Melbourne.
Even the club can't get the spelling of this bloke's last name right (much of the time), so it's not surprising that hardly anyone else does!! It's Kreuger!
I didn't know until the other day that Jett Hartman was indigenous - I knew Patrick Farrant was.
...played at various stages this year.
Rye Penny will retain his place having come into the team as a very late emergency last week, while JakobRyan – who Penny replaced – will suit up this week having experienced hamstring tightness during the warm up last Saturday.
Ryan is part of a...

Had this rule been in place last year, JakobRyan, Josh Carmichael, Trent Bianco, Will Kelly, Trey Ruscoe and Tom Wilson all would have been awarded premiership medallions ?? You wouldn't be able to pick most of those blokes out of a crowd. The medallion needs to have prestige. Otherwise, as an...
While it may ultimately be that Markov was in form and the right place at the right time for a year he played today with heavily bandaged ribs and was one of our best against Coburg
