He seems a bit i don't give a ...to me but maybe i am mis- reading the body language . Hard to see why he has been given such an armchair ride otherwise.
That back 7 of Pearce/Ryan/Clark/Aish/Walker/Chapman/Draper (with Cox to replace Draper soon) is pretty locked, not much opportunity for other players.
Feel so sorry for him. Was going quite well trying to establish himself. Went hard, fully committed to winning the ball. Through no one's fault he has been out ever since. Sometimes footy isn't fair 😕
The local rag should have been writing articles like this all year instead of sitting around lazily coming up with ridiculous non-articles about Harley Reid. Articles like this encourage and reward a group of kids who are actually creating something for WA.
Amazing read. The part about they probably would have taken Cooper Simpson at 19 was interesting. I'm a huge fan of Simpson too.. His blend of skill, speed, agility and the mentality to take the game on is something we have sorely lacked in the front half in recent years. High hopes for him

Not sure how having a load of left footers in our forward line who can’t kick on both feet, is an advantage. Sturt got stuck a couple of times on the weekend trying to get back on his left. I would rather have a load of players who can in both feet

I get the JOM vs Johnson because of where they play, but bringing in Johnson would need a restructure as he wouldn't suit what JOM has been asked to do.
I also think Wagner -> Johnson as sub is a possibility depending on what they want to do with the latter.
I however don't understand the Aish...
...a few interesting decisions /sliding doors like for like battles….
IMO these are the most interesting:
JOM vs. Matt Johnson
Aish vs. KarlWorner
Could throw in Banfield vs. Matt Johnson, though not playing similar roles.
I’m liking the unique look of left foot Amiss, Banfield, Walters and...
Some of it is to do with the style of game being played.
Taller than usual Peel forward line means that the small forwards are left with a lot of futile chasing when the ball doesn't get marked, and one of those smalls is Wilson who doesn't run so far nowadays.
Just woke up from sleeping and so (like the coaches) looked at the key stat.....
5 tackles for Cooper Simpson
5 tackles Will Brodie
2 tackles Neil Erasmus, Liam Reidy, KarlWorner
1 tackle Sam Sturt, Matthew Taberner, Patrick Voss
But what was the quality of those tackles?
Cooper Simpson should get a debut game for Freo next week against the Dogs at Optus
20 touches and 2.4 (should of had 4) and is MID/DEF in SC
KarlWorner might get a gig as a rebound defender seeing Amiss was KO'd and Young would be doubtful with his hammy
Now can you highlight which of these players at each club are Key Position Players (particularly Key Forwards) Cos flankers can be easily replaced but Talls and particularly KPF's cannot. The loss of key tall targets changes the way teams can play and also alters their scoring opportunities...
