It's Ivan Soldo mate. Settle down. I'm no huge fan of ROB, but Ivan Soldo is hardly an elite ruckman. He's 28 and has played 63 games. And as for unco ruckman, OscarMcInerney has ROB well and truly covered, and he went within a kick of a premiership.
On the bolded yes i would love moyle because i think hes ready.
But i wouldnt let that stop us chasing a youmg ruck. Stanley and blitz are nearly done, because a lot of u18 rucks need 3-4 years to be ready if you take pike now hes ready as a production line behind toby when toby is 25-6.

...is a 194cm key forward who had a total of 13 hitouts in his 5 games before the knee injury.
This perfectly demonstrates my point. An OscarMcInerney is the best we could hope for and he took 4 years to be ready as a number 1 ruck.
With Conway and Edwards I'm not sure getting Pike who's...

Yeah I see. If the core problem is that we didn’t have good picks due to our success, then why did we rely on the draft so much? I note that we also traded our first pick in the 2020 draft, and Geelong selected Max Holmes with the pick we gave them. He’s pretty good, so I don’t really think our...
2017 was where the damage was done. The 2nd round was full of good KPPs and we didn't cash in considering that is what we were targeting going into the draft.
Balta was a good pick up but picked a mediocre ruck and B grade small forward with the other 2 early picks.
Could have had one or...
Pretty much what I would do, I would like to see Rayner as the third tall, Wilmot to wing.

I'm a bit taken with Brain.
Just has that bit of mongrel but still plenty of poise , and the confidence to back himself.
It never pays to get carried away with untried players but he could end up being good.
I'm hoping but I guess a bit much to ask for this year.

Briggs is a pretty good ruckman to be fair, and will only get better. McInerny isn't the best, but isn't terrible. De Koning can at least play forward at times (to varying degrees of success).
I agree with your point in principle, but those aren't the best examples. And even if a top line...
Yeah - Ruckman are very important to a teams success. Thats why the 4 starting ruck man in the Prelims were Mason Cox, OscarMcInerney, Marc Pittonet/De Koning, and Briggs.
Make no mention that in the list of highest paid players - there were 5 ruckman. Those 5 ruckman's teams had a combined 0...
