Northern academies will stay for us long as first round draft picks nominate homesickness as to why they won’t move interstate.
AFL will contrive a result that allows North to be assisted after years of own goals.
Salary cap would be freed up with Hannebery and Rohan being moved on. Picks currently 12 and a first rounder next year would get it done. Not a bad tweet but surprised if it happened.
Hawks in the 2000's were dodge with some of their trades but these days seem to trade with other clubs easily.
Essendon these days seem to play hard ball on every deal no matter how trivial.
Most clubs however will work to get things done.
I guess if JOM ends in the PSD then you could argue...
Free agency has its failings.
Can't knock a team for having a crack at the flag through the trade period.
I think the cats are heading to the cliff with their strategy, trade a 24 year old for a 29 year old.
Geelong are paying the penalty for having to trade for a free agent in Dangerfield last year. They have no picks and have to give up more to get something back.

Mitchell should get to the Hawks with pick 14 and either 2017 2nd round pick 2017 or what pick they get for Hill going to Freo.
JOM for a player and future first rounder?

Swans money not AFL runs the academy. What would the incentive be if you spent your own money and nothing at the end? Hence the discount is an incentive.
He can take a mark and plays forward as the resting ruck, aggressive around the contest (like Mumford) but lacks speed to be a true mobile forward like a Tippett. Endurance has improved. Played well this year in the games he's started in. Only dropped because Tippett came back in.
