Anything could of happened. It's ok to say we would of got beaten or we would of won but we wasn't there full stop.

Unfortunately I dont think so, as much as I want buckley to win a premiership as a player i just feel its not gonna happen atm. But Id love to be proved wrong, Im with Carnthepies, i think our turn will be in 2008/2009. I just look forward to seeing our younger players develop like thomas, pendles, rusling n co, and see who we get in the draft. I think 2007 will be an interesting year for us but not our year.

Im with you Dave. We missed out on a double chance by a bee's ****. We were terrible the year before. With a a little bit more depth in key positions such as our Ruck department we'll be there. At the end of the day with the heart in the right place the Pies should be able to win a flag with an under 19's team.
To all of you other negative supporters, you obviously won't be going to the Copeland, so I won't see you there and in fact why don't you keep your negativity to yourself...

i like your optimism mate but the fact is that we are stuffed for the next few years thanks to malthouses insipid recruiting like not getting a decent ruckman ,and wasting draft picks on players like shackleton.billy morrison and bo nixon,get real mate we are on a downward spiral if we dont make the hard decisions now we will be challenging for a flag in 2015

Lonie is worth perservering with he is a good finisher carries the ball and hits the target .
Holland is the pies best bait to pick up someone ,he is soft but for some reason well rated by many who dont actually watch his performances closely enough.

nah I think we will just not alot. oi dave your a tad too optimistic. seriously i hope we do get up next year that would be fantastic, but if we think logically i dont think so, i think we will be in the bottom half of the 8 again or even out of it. But then we will rise again in 2008/2009. but please prove me wrong collingwood

Can't see us winning it next year, but we should get top 4 i think, and then have a real crack at it in 2008. I am prepared to eat my words though!
As a non Pie supporter, bored on a Monday morning, i would say Pies will finish 10-12th next year. Didak and Holland absence will hurt. Young players still 2 years away from major impact.
Have some good youngsters, so i would trade away some dead wood, load up with pace in draft and have another assault in 2009-2011 period for that flag.
